Location: Portland OR (but live in Sisters, OR)

1888 line says I still have no IDA, no other info. Called the Portland delivery center and they said no VIN, and thus the car hasn't begun production. Seems a little incredible for a day 1 reservation, early configurer but go figure.
I ordered mine 3-17. Conf. 6-18. My pick up date in Portland is Sept 26. Awd,self driving, 18” wheels, black, black auto pilot, long range battery. Good luck. 62k out the door

I am on the east coast, and around mid August was given a delivery date of early September. Within only a few days after receiving the original date it slipped a few days, due to a rail scheduling delay. On the day before the 2nd delivery date, was called to reschedule delivery due to another rail delay. This time, the car is supposedly in Alabama, but stuck in the rail yard. Have to wait another week plus...sadness. I will say, that my IDA informed me that the VIN will show up in your Tesla Account exactly 7 days prior to your scheduled delivery date. It is a software "feature". So basically, my VIN disappeared for a few days until I was within 7 days of my new delivery appointment. Still the same VIN, so that's good. Now, I'm hoping the impending hurricane doesn't cause any further delays...

Just got an improved delivery date, 6 days sooner in Devon, PA.

Emailed our IDA Sunday afternoon, said we would be happy to take an earlier delivery if a car that meets our order specs becomes available before our scheduled 9/28 delivery. Bernardo from Fremont called this afternoon, offered 18:30 Saturday, Sep 22. We took it.

Just trying to be part of the logistics solution for Tesla. Assumption is they want to move cars through their pipeline as quickly as possible. Our streamlined delivery gives Tesla flexibility if the car we want suddenly becomes available. Could be due to
- Another customer's reconfiguration, delivery date change, delay with loan or trade-in.
- Tesla over-produced the configuration we want.

When we're flexible to quickly take an available car:
- Tesla has cash earlier instead of inventory.
- Tesla has more time to either find another taker for the car originally intended for us, or adjust the production that would have produced that car.

Haven’t heard from my DA Julie since she told me I couldn’t get VIN before I schedule delivery date (which she now won’t respond to). Saw her on LinkedIn so I know she’s not a bot.......Endured a long wait time on the phone with Tesla (the whole time a voice encouraged white interior) and finally got Chris in CS. He said I should give Julie my cell, tell her I have questions and to please call me. Who knew? I am now awaiting her call. Supposed to take delivery 2 weeks from today. Chris did tell me I didn’t have VIN assigned yet and seemed a little miffed when I asked if getting the white interior would make things easier. Hope this helps those with inattentive DAs. I am financing through Tesla and trading in GTI.

Get on the phone and spend an afternoon trying to get the paperwork ready. With Tesla, constantly nagging them is sometimes the only way to get them to do anything.
I had the same issue. Shot my delivery person a note asking them to open it up. It opened within 5 hours from sending the email. Knowing how swamped they are, emailing (when they know you'll call if they don't respond) might be the best overall. Of course, if they don't respond, call.

Just got delivery confirmation today for Monday Sep 24th at 10:30am
At my local sc. also got loan approval through Tesla in about five minutes
online. Got a sms link to submit trade info as well., via iPhone.
Edit button is gone, account now shows delivery info instead, no vin that I can
see yet

This gives me hope. Who is your DA? Have they been responsive throughout process? Glad to know process was so easy. I expect the same. Congrats.

Congrats! How’d it go?
Thank you!!! IT went smoothly for the most portion. Paper work got completed in 5 minutes. I was told there is no walk thru, but delivery specialist covered almost everything including linking Tesla from my phone and my wife's phone, user preferences, charging, and warranty. Felt a little rushed, but later realized that it's because of Delivery Specialist being sick with cold.

No major issues except a couple of minor things with rear left door alignment, depressed rear right side window liner, and missing plastic screw caps under wheel well for all 4 wheels. Service took care of 1 and 3 while I waited and ordered window liner for the rear right side window. They said they would call me after they receive window liner.

I was worried about paint issues, but found none so far. Interior was in great shape too. A little bit of dust on the wood panel, but the leather seats, carpets, doors, etc. were in excellent condition.

Overall great delivery experience.

My grey items (trade-in and financing) just turned yellow. I supplied the financing bank name and amount and that block turned green. The trade-in sent a text to my phone after which I supplied all the info and pics. But after hitting the submit button, I get an error - "Unable to save your data at this time. Please report this issue or try again later." lol Report to who? Tried several times, but no luck. Anyone have this issue?

Btw, the edit button is now gone. Still no VIN and no contact from DA.

EDIT - I was able to go through a web browser on my PC pointed to the URL that my phone was using. I reloaded some of the pics that were not loaded and submitted successfully from there. No all the trade-in info is on my account page.

I’m also waiting for my trade info. Let me know when you get yours and then I can hope. Financing was quick and easy.

My grey financing button (through Tesla, though I'll shop it) just turned yellow. Filled out the information requested and it turned back to grey. Still no VIN - says "Your credit application has been received. We will contact you with details on your credit decision and terms."

Tricia, are you financing through Tesla? You had said earlier and I have the same issue, before the CU approves the loan they need a MVPA which has VIN. I'm assuming you still do not have a vin. My theory is, under financing the form said (along with trade in pics) info on your financing source which, as it happens, the form knew about mine and filled in the info, that maybe Tesla would work directly with them??? But when I had 'complained' to Tesla about the initial commitment expiring, I was told Tesla's advice is do not apply for financing until you are given a VIN. By their new marching orders, that's within 5 days of delivery. The car w/vin is not ours, regardless of what ppl say, until we sign for it and take delivery...well...unless electronically signing the MVPA when it is sent counts. Tesla in Dedham MA said no, you sign for it upon delivery of car. This in response to my recounting the story of the guy in TX who had committed to pay for a car that was never delivered. (What...about a month ago?). So, long story short..there are some gray areas here. I tend to agree with @cmyke ! Before I said being on here always raised my BP, now it's giving me a headache.
