Horrible because it was less than you wanted or way less than KBB suggested.. I'm getting close to irritated but they are trying to close out the month, so I'm cutting them some slsck. My acct is updated but still no trade-in value.

In my case half of what KBB suggests. I will just sell privately. I have never traded in, even with tax incentive I just can't stand giving away that cash just to make it a little easier. That being said I thought I would be foolish to not see what Tesla offered seeing it is so easy to submit the info!

What were/are you selling and mileage?
KBB can pair you up with Instant Buyer that offer you cash sight unseen. Presumably it has to be pretty much what you advertised.

Reserved 4/2/16
Ordered late June when everyone could, and updated to white interior on first day

Like most AWD reservation holders, I was contacted by Tesla to schedule a delivery appointment. It was set for Sept. 24th. A couple days later, they called and moved it up to Sept. 17th. This was Sept. 11 and Sept. 12th. I immediately filled out the loan application and accepted terms, and since my delivery center is ~90 minutes from me, and includes use of a public ferry system (coming from Western WA, delivery center is SODO) I need ample time to plan around traffic to get to/from the delivery center.

Well tonight I got a call at 630pm, where the delivery advisor told me “they were expecting a shipment but haven’t gotten it yet” and they would have to delay until wednesday Sept. 19th

At this point, I’m complaining just to complain. You wanted a reservation? I got it to you within hours of When i could. You wanted another $2500 for configuration? Provided immediately. I’ve literally NEVER received an email from Tesla besides them confirming my deposits were receipted. Every time I have configured or updated or filled out loan info I had to check my account.

I’m asolutely through with Tesla. I’m buying the car (yes, they have me by the balls.... my lease expired over a year ago... thanks for being so upfront) but i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

TL:DR stop complaining it’s just a car

I'm supposed have delivery in 8 days. When should I hear from a Delivery Specialist? Emails to my advisor are ignored. Phone call to my delivery center revealed no car and no VIN has been assigned yet. I assume this is normal practice for Tesla but 8 days is close.
Same here, my delivery is in 9 days and I haven’t heard from anyone yet. I’m still playing the patient game for a few more days. It’s soooooo hard tho....

For what it's worth that's roughly what happened to me when I bought my S back in 2015. (I ended up giving the old car to a family member, but same principle.)

My delivery is the 26th. No vin, no backdoor anything . Just finance stuff and delivery info.
My delivery is in 5 days and still no VIN or MVPA!

I called my local delivery center yesterday and they said this is the new way they do it and everything is fine.

Sigh.

Does your backdoor edit URL still work?

Well, I stand corrected after b!tching in this thread for several weeks.

I got the yellow ellipses for financing and my edit button disappeared. No contact yet from an ISA or any email.

From what I've read here, it sounds like I'm within 2-3 weeks now.
That's great! I'm glad your BP can drop back to normal now. All things come to those who wait! But it's not over yet. I've gotten one voice mail from my alleged IDA, I've returned his call 2-3 times. Crickets. That'll change get today one way or the other. Still no trade-in valuation!

Call Dedham, ask for Jeremy or David in sales. They are both outstanding and can help you. Also. Go to CarMax on 1a south of 128 for a reality check.

Thanks! I'll try to see if I can reach either of them today. Went into CarMax yesterday and got a quote on the trade-in...was pleasantly surprised by their offer, as it was about $1k more than KBB. Unless Tesla comes up with something stupendous, I'll probably just take CarMax's offer.

I'm 12 days from my scheduled delivery and my edit link still works. You sound like you're ahead of me.

Picked up my TM3 over the weekend. Very smooth delivery, there were at least 15 / 20 getting done on the same day.
Fit and finish was very good... was worried about it after reading all the bad stories. The only minor issue was that the USB connections did not get power which they fixed immediately. EAP was not enabled and i had to make a call and was pushed down over night and tried it out this morning and all is working well!

Mass has sales tax on new car purchases. Your tax liability will be about 6.5% of trade-in lower that no trade in. In others words, in my case the non trade-in price would need to be $1000 higher than trade-in to break even.
