Did you try calling the scheduling line? See my earlier post above. They might be able to give you a new time (whatever good it will do). Worked for me.
Wasn't this latest rash of deferrals relegated to MN? From the Ben Sullins vid apparently Nevada had a legal issue with Tesla storing too many cars in the rail yard. I referenced his video on that. Maybe there is a similar thing in MN where the state won't accept any more 'warehoused' Teslas?

Welp... just got the dreaded call. Due to logistical issues, delivery rescheduled from Monday (9/24) to Friday (9/28). Not the worst scenario and actually works slightly better with my work schedule.

Asked for update on VIN and was told to expect by end of this week or Monday at the latest.

Hopefully will get trade-in situation all sorted out by then.

All I know is that I was told by the scheduler on the phone that the entire Minnesota region was affected by this latest delay but she could only cite delivery logistics issues and not any specific reason. Could very well be a similar issue.

In my case this was a delivery in Devon, PA. I was hoping I'd avoid a delay but after seeing all the NJ delays figured I was probably going to get the call.

I would personally rather use ACH for security, however I'm going to bring the check in case my car has issues and I reject
Why would you reject it? Regular car dealerships are not immune to cars coming in damaged in transit. After the car is unloaded if there is damage it's first stop is their body shop. For instance, I was told by the Dedham, MA showroom people, if a car arrives damaged they will fix it, ideally before pickup. If it is unfixable they will reject it and carrier insurance handles paying them for it. If it is fixable but you arrive as it's being unloaded they will schedule with you a time for them to fix it and give you a loaner (maybe an S). Or, if it's minor, fix it while you wait. Why would you reject it and go back in line? I mean that as a serious question.

The scheduling rep suggested yesterday that I call my Delivery Advisor and I finally spoke with him this morning. He said that delivery to the Rocklin SC was delayed, which required the cancellation of my 9/23 appointment. He also said the car is on target to arrive on the 22, but I do not have a new appointment time! No indication as to when I might be able to pick up the car, not even a guess. No VIN yet. He couldn't even attempt to explain why the scheduler said they would reach out to me "in the next few weeks" to reschedule. DA advised me to wait to hear from Tesla, and that calling the scheduling rep would not get me on the calendar any sooner. At least that is what I thought he might have said- the transmission was breaking up and it wasn't exactly clear so I probably misunderstood. He could have said I SHOULD call scheduling and set a new appointment...

The good news is that my car exists! Maybe just an impacted appointment calendar in Rocklin is the only thing standing between me and the driver's seat.

My delivery was originally scheduled Sept. 24th, then they called to move it up to Sept. 17th. Got phone call the night before moving it to Sept. 19th, and then again a call late the day before moving it again to the 20th. My delivery center is Seattle SODO, and I used the delivery tracker another member posted for OVISS showing the car having been trucked to Tacoma, WA back on the 14th... Tacoma is actually closer to me than Seattle, and the car has been there for 5 days now with no movement? Making no sense to me... I'll flatbed the thing to Seattle on my own dime if that's what it takes... what is going on?

I'm scheduled for a delivery on Saturday Sept 22. I have heard nothing, no email, no call, no VIN, no car, no delivery specialist.

But I've called a few times and the person I talk to says this is normal.
Call the inside delivery people 1-888-771- 2505. Maybe they could help. I called today and told her my concern, no vin, no mvpa, my pick up is in 6 days. She said she would get back to me in a few hours

What delivery tracker? Link?

Interesting. I haven't been moved [YET!] off the 28th, although I was initially offered the window of the 24th to the 2nd, then told my VIN wouldn't be available until a few days ahead of time. If they could have done the 24th, how is it possible I may not have a VIN until the 26th? Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

From what I've been observing, they like to assign a VIN about seven days prior if possible. My personal guess is that their ambitious goal was that you'd have a VIN assigned by the 17th, but it won't display in your account until the 22nd as you've chosen the 28th. If it looks like it will be in town before the 26th, I think you may receive a call offering to pick it up early. If it doesn't look like it's going to arrive by the 26th, I predict you'll get a delivery delay call. My mistake may have been choosing the 22nd (earliest day in my window) so that's why I got a delay call. If the rumors are true that the VIN stays assigned to you even if they remove it from view in your account, my hope is that I'll get a call offering an earlier delivery than my new date of 10/2 if it comes in sooner than 9/30.

Good luck Tricia! I was told I wouldn't get VIN, MVPA until day of or day before delivery. This is kind of nuts. I am highly tempted to drop out of the spin the bottle mode and not expect anything until they have their *sugar* together. That would probably add a week but the trade-in would be done, the paper work would be done the car would be inspected and detailed (likely 50% of all cars arrive "not perfect"). So, at the cost of a couple of days and way fewer Tums.

Actually, I just logged on to my Tesla account, selected the Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement and it is now completed. I've been assigned VIN# and the MVPA is ready for me to sign. I didn't receive an email or call to say I had been assigned a VIN or that the MVPA has been completed, no communication.

I tend to agree with @a.void here. We all want a perfect car and we all expect Tesla to do the right thing. 99% of the time they do. However sometimes you get a car that is either damaged enough, or needs enough repair that it should never be sold as new. In my particular case, I will be getting my car delivered out of Cleveland/Lindhurst which has had a few issues (Staggering amount of issues found at/after delivery. Considering returning the car.) and the DA/Body Shop people say it's "within tolerances" or get flippant about repairing issues. That's a case where I want to be able to refuse the car for one that is in proper "new" condition. Holding onto my money is the the best way I have of enforcing my right as a customer should a situation like this occur.

To be clear, I've done this every time I've purchased a car that wasn't already on the lot.
