Bonnie's Xcellent Adventure w/X Sig 2 - Config, Delivery, Roadtrip

Looks like I've got a VIN: 5YJXCBE41GFS00006. Nevada requires an insurance card before the car can be delivered, and you need a VIN to get a card, so that might have been a factor. Mine is configured as a 6-seater with the winter driving package. Tesla emailed me about two weeks ago and said to expect delivery early December.
Based on a search for your sig reservation number it looks like your VIN matches. Weird that a "100" higher Sig # has a couple weeks early delivery (7racer: Nov 16 Sig # 171). I sure was hoping/expecting a 2015 delivery for my #603.

May I request to move the "bouncing X VIN portion of this thread be moved on its own thread? Some of us are following Bonnie's specific progress and as fascinating as it is to see the wide swings of VIN #s to Reservation #s, I wonder where Bonnie's specific car is and when her abbreviated trip (for now) will happen. You know, the original topic of the thread. [emoji3]

Just a thought

That seems to have worked well.

Four of the next five posts:

So if there is batch production going on, lets say based on paint color, we can begin to patch this together in the MX tracker if we can update with Res #, VIN # and color. Super exciting. My parents have a production reservation and are eagerly awaiting their X.

SIG 700 - No VIN Yet...

Should I make cookies? Anyone want a coffee? :)

I've got nothing new to report. Carry on.

I assume you too have received an email with a tentative date? pardon me if I missed it in the thread. Just curious on your timing since you are likely to take delivery at the factory. Especially now that we have a November estimate on one and a December estimate on another. Thanks!

Nope. No email with a tentative date. Since I expect that Tesla would notify me with enough time to finalize any financing, if necessary, I find the reported dates suspect - and more likely the result of an over-eager delivery specialist, doing their best to communicate with a customer, but perhaps not with the latest info. (Sorry to be a wet blanket...)

And to be clear, Tesla has been very responsive to any emails I've sent. I'm not complaining about communication.

Couldn't miss getting a Buc-ee's breakfast burrito! And my favorite bbq at City Market in Luling. OMG. That's the best.

Whoa! Didn't know that little place branched out. They've hit the big time!
They didn't branch out - the Houston restaurant (though it's not bad, and totally convenient to my workplace) took advantage of the lack of a trademark for the 3-word name "Luling City Market" and banked on the reputation of "City Market" located in Luling, TX. http://thebestoftexasbarbecue.com/2015/06/24/city-market-luling-texas/

I stopped this weekend at the real one on the way to a gig in Kerrville, and lemme put it this way, the power was out in their half of downtown Luling and it didn't impact them one. little. bit. That's authentic 'Q!!

I'm totally jealous. Guessing you know a couple of good friends of mine, musicians in that area. Smokey Wilson, Chris Gage? I'm due for some live music & in that part of Texas, don't care how small the bar is, someone is playing. Also, a very well known Irish fiddler, Kevin Burke, will be doing a house concert here at my place in August. Might be a good time for you to swing by.

This is one of the reasons Bonnie is of peerless credibility on TMC. There has not been such a straight shooter since Annie Oakley.
