Brand new Y with flat tire - my journey

This thread is scaring me a little as well. In 10+ years of driving (yes, I’m relatively young), all I’ve ever had was one screw in a tire. Am I extremely lucky, or are Ys/Tesla more prone to flats? I am planning on going on a 1,000 mile road trip in a couple of months (granted, all in California, so I should be able to get help from Tesla), but I’m starting to wonder if I should make some purchases before leaving. All I have is a battery operated inflator device.

I just got a flat on my MY last week. Was just about to drive off until before it told me I had a flat and then I could hear the tire hissing. It was a screw right in the middle of the tire. I pulled it out and plugged it with a kit from Amazon and then inflated the tire back up. It's been holding air steadily ever since. This was my first flat in probably the last 10 years. Hopefully these tires aren't going to be magnets for screws!

Well, having a spare and tools ready to go sure paid off. Got a flat the other day. It’s unrepairable. Need to wait up to 2 weeks for the exact tire replacement to arrive at the tire shop. I certainly got screwed… looks like a machine screw.
