generic tesla sales email address I can use to query my order confirmation?
want the delivery day to be as easy as possible
[email protected]Doesn't anyone have a generic tesla sales email address I can use to query my order confirmation?
Like others I received the update to my order which includes/excludes the plugin grant from the price structure (obviously they were getting many calls about this) - I noticed my agreement doesn't have the £1,000 reservation fee.
Not worried, just want the delivery day to be as easy as possible.
How difficult would it be for Tesla to clarify in the covering email what they were doing to avoid all this confusion/pi$$ing off a whole new generation of owners before we have even become owners.
Well I'm having to rethink the whole purchase now. Model 3 versus other options and all of the various configurations of the EV world (current and near future). I'm supposed to be selling my current car (a Leaf, so fuel savings don't mean anything to me) on Friday, so now that is up in the air too due to their error. I only bought the configuration I did because other options weren't available at the time and the price I was quoted was just about affordable (and was before the government grant, how I wish I had screenshotted it at the time). This error changes all of that. I may have to put it all on hold and wait out a pure RWD version (losing the savings I originally got on FSD which as someone intending to keep the car until it falls apart still has value for me). Such a mess, this has been the most excited I've been about a car purchase, but the most stressful also.
Why can Tesla not just say that in the covering email?
Nope. The issue is that when I created my order (before 09:00 on 1st May) the website was incorrectly deducting the government grant twice: once in the main price, then again as a separate line item. Hence why my original order agreement was wrong (but matched that incorrect calculation). I know I'm going to get the government grant, but they incorrectly credited it twice when I was configuring my car. From what I gather you are under the impression you won't receive the government grant, I think you need to relax a little its only been a day since the email and Tesla aren't that efficient. I see no reason why you would not receive the grant, Tesla have just adjusted an invoice to show the price before the grant and I am sure they will not expect you to pay the price exc the grant.
It does seem their backend is slow and their accounting department take a few days to get anything changed, I would wait it out and they will amend the invoices before final payment, if you have a delivery contact send an email to them and they can chase accounting.
As the issue is likely widespread to everyone I would not worry about it as they will sort it and expect a credit note to appear for the government grant.

Thank you for at least believing that I was shown what I was shown.I see your pain, but it's a different issue than what most people are discussing here i.e. latest invoice simply being shown ex. grant. In your case you really were led to believe there would be another £3500 deduction for the grant. I'm afraid that is definitely not happening. FWIW I would just ditch FSD to keep within your original budget. It's massively over-hyped for what it can actually do. Basic AP is very close, except for the crippled lane changing. To be honest auto lane-changing is a pita anyway. I use it because it's there, but really it's harder work (and definitely more unpredictable) than just steering across lanes yourself and doesn't work well in real world traffic unless you have the patience of a saint! Basically, with the hindsight of personal experience, I have no problem only specifying basic AP on my next Tesla.
Thank you for at least believing that I was shown what I was shown.
Great. Why could the covering email we all got not have said just that?Got this email from Tesla from my query:
The price of the car has remained the same, this order agreement has simply been reissued to show the total price with the £3,500 UK plug in grant.
The total amount (that you will pay) is the amount on the order agreement less the £3,500. This will also be clear on your final invoice.
Kind regards,

I don't understand why it is worth 3 pages of posts.
