I have a good friend who picked up a fully loaded S85 (not CPO due to mileage) from Tesla for 44k! To my knowledge, that is the cheapest Tesla has ever sold a S85 for.

The CPOC has only picked up 10 Model S sales under $51K, but we know folks have been getting deals through service center inventory. clarkbariowa posted in the CPO Website is Now Live thread about getting an S60 for $44K, that was the cheapest I have heard of for any trim line.
With the exception of Cyclone's unfortunate experience, pretty much everybody who has posted here about their CPO has been thrilled with it. Even if they had a few bumps and disappointments along the way, once you get in the Model S, all that seems forgotten.

I just purchased a CPO 60 for 50k on saturday. It was a car that had not yet found its way to the website (my owner advisor found it for me). The CPOC only lists cars that have been posted, but the really good deals are gone before they ever hit the website. My friends car (the 85 for 44k) was the same way.
I actually was the one that snagged the S60 for $44k. I'll be picking it up on Friday. Nobody's ever fessed up to buying it, but there was a nicely equipped S85 that sold out of Seattle for around $50.4k. It had somewhere over 40k miles and certainly didn't last long.

Thanks, I'm actually picking up in Cleveland. It would have been a logistical challenge to pick up in Chicago, mainly due to the fact that I really want to be able to get there and home in the same day. There was a $500 transport fee to move it to Cleveland.
I've had many sleepless nights due to excitement, and have now gone through many different emotional states (largely due to a [hopefully unfounded] paranoia that the 60 isn't going to cut it for road trips, especially after years of battery degradation).

haha, me too. Since we never seen the actual car until the day of delivery, I'm very anxious and don't know what to expect. I had a dream last night that my MS is a "wagon", I was shocked in my dream, what did I get myself into.

Why couldn't I be a lucky one with a lottery ticket instead?!? I miss my car. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong with it and I can start driving it again soon (waiting on the paint to cure). Still sucks to be told the things I have been told and to get repair bills for a "new to me" car that was "certified". But I'll go grumble in my corner now.
What do you guys all think of a P85 for $65K exactly for these options? VIN is in the 07000s; 2013 model. This is a CPO that also has not "made it to the website."

Sounds like it could be perfect, as long as Tesla is willing to give you a good price on trade. Very nicely equipped. How many miles are on the P85?
Considering your experience you should feel free to grumble! I hope everything from now on goes much better. I had a rocky first few weeks ago with an inventory car but that was trivial in the end. Good luck, Cyclone!
Oh how could I forget to include that?! The car's got 13K miles. But with the one P85 for $59.7k, I might wait a bit longer

I wonder how many current S owners are in the queue for an X? There could be another wave of pre-owned S' showing up as CPO's.
Must be quite a few. I imagine some early 2012/2013 original owners would be going to (or adding) a Model X as their next. Hundreds? Thousands? That plus original 3-year leases from 2013 start to create CPO growth during 2016.
I bet thousands of Model S buyers will either upgrade within the next 6 months or get a MX as their second car. I wonder if Tesla will allow current Model S leaseholders to turn in their cars early for a new Model S or X. This is a common practice with most other premium brands.
I think the Model X will be a phenomenal vehicle when it comes out and we will find some of the advanced technology in the Model S as well.
