If current trend continue, CHEAPR rebate shouldn't be a concern for another month at least as Tesla started to eat all other EV manufacturer's Lunch and as we know not much sudden spike is going to happen for M3 deliveries between now and end of the month. It is pretty stable for the past week and it might have at least $500 - $600K of funds left by end of the month left for us.

it appears there are atleast 5 blue, AWD, black and few other colors scheduled for delivery on 10/31 at Mt. Kisco.
Just checked CT rebate and they still have 925K hopefully it runs thru early next month.
Make it at least 6. I received a VIN on Friday - 1174xx - for my Blue/Black AWD 19”. It is supposedly due to arrive at Mt. Kisco on 10/29 or 10/30. I made a delivery appt for 11/2.

anyone know what changes are coming oct 15th?

from the site:

CHEAPR rebate amounts

will be EVolving on October 15, 2018!

Oh boy.. just noticed it on the home page and doesn't sounds good :).. time to call them @ 11 ET once they are open for business today I guess. With the Tesla volume ramp-up, I'm afraid whether they will create some kind of STEP program like SolarizeCT to phase out the rebate or put limitations on the eligibility based on sales volume (align with Federal).. Please do call and post what you hear and I'll do the same. We are pretty close, 3 weeks away from delivery and hope they don't jinx our dreams of getting the $3K.

After Oct 15 Model 3 AWD does not qualify for CT CHEAPR program as threshold for MSRP goes down to 50K. The info is at CHEAPR website.

My guess is that Oct 15th cutoff is using purchase date, not order placement date or registration date.

I called and they told me the "date of delivery" is what matters. so we have to take delivery on or before Oct 14th to be eligible for AWD.

Yes

Which Tesla Model 3 vehicles are eligible for CHEAPR?
Before October 15, 2018, the Tesla Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive and Model 3 Long Range Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive models are eligible for CHEAPR. The Tesla Model 3 Performance model is not eligible because the base MSRP of this specific model exceeds $60,000.

They told me application must be submitted before 10/15, so who knows... I ended up calling Mt. Kisco to see if they submitted within the 10 day window after purchase (which was yesterday for me) and they didn't. They said they would get it in and sure enough, got the confirmation email at 11:30 last night from CHEAPR that it was submitted and $3k reserved.... Nothing like waiting last minute

In case if anyone interested, Tesla Mt.Kisco location will do the registration/plate transfer from your old car to new if you ask. I just did that yesterday and hopefully they will do it correct. I was told , I can used my old license plates once they send me update about the new registration. The only requirement was to provide the old registration and insurance binder as "replacement vehicle" and not as new car insurance. They called my insurance company to fix that to get a new binder. So give it a shot if interested.

So, I reserved my M3 on 3/31/16 and configured it online (blue, AWD, 19" wheels) on May 24th. I was counting on the CHEAPR rebate but now that's apparently gone. Tesla sent me the infamous text message in late September but then never followed up, and I had to call them myself to get a delivery date scheduled for next week.

Anyone in a similar boat tried calling Tesla to see if they can do anything? Like, lower the price, or throw in free supercharging?

Nope, Tesla said that it is out of their control and they will not do anything to offset the CHEAPR loss. Looks like a bill is moved in congress by a Republican to remove the fed EV rebates altogether. Hope Tesla delivers the cars before that come into effect:-(

I called, and the fabled “delivery advisor” is supposed to call me by Monday to discuss this. I’m not holding my breath. Maybe I can get a jacket at least :D

We had exactly the same thing happen, and today we received notification that our CHEAPR application was ineligible because it was submitted after the 10 day deadline. CHEAPR Project Coordinator told me to take it up with Tesla. I am not hopeful at this point.
