Oh and not to mention that I constantly get out of her car and forget to actually turn it off, so she winds up yelling at me to hit the button to turn off the engine when I've already started walking away from the car. And I always forget to actually hit a button to lock her doors rather than just have them lock automatically when I walk away.
Ha!! Same…

I put my order in 6/24. EDD fluctuated always between 08/07 to 9/11. Now lately says 9/11 to 9/30.

Interesting to see lots of people who ordered in July think they might be theirs in August. When I talked to Tesla I was told there is a HUGE backlog so don't hold your breath if it actually takes longer than 12 weeks. For me 8 weeks and still waiting but others have been waiting longer than me too.

I live very close to the Fremont, Ca plant but still waiting. Wait is well worth it.
One of the benefits/curses (honestly dunno which it is) of being in CA is that we're more than likely to be EOQ no matter what lol. I ordered a few days before you. While I would love an 8 week wait, it's more than likely going to be a Sept delivery since I'm also in CA.

So far 1 white vin, 3 blk vin today in this group. I think they are starting to make the switch to blk interior.
In my opinion there's way too little data to make any reasonable conclusions, especially considering VINs to any surveys on this site are self-reported. It's helpful, but not indicative of much to be honest.

Guys remember how I told you there’s a $500 charge, if you change anything, and I couldn’t find anywhere that it said that, until right now. Read the very bottom.
This could potentially be their way of saying that it moves you up to the current pricing. If I remember correctly, a few pages ago, the mythical $500 change fee was debunked to correspond with pricing changes to the MY.

Anybody who's had to refresh their trade-in value ever have it take several days? This is my second time doing it, and last time it was less than 24 hours until a new value was approved. It's been a little over two days now since I submitted the new mileage.
Our original trade in expired right before July 4th. I refreshed the trade in on July 3rd and it still says evaluating. So over a month later and no trade in estimate. I guess it's not the worst thing though since hopefully whenever it updates it'll be close to the delivery day and we won't have to worry about it expiring again.

That's so weird. Last time it was literally the next day for me.

Welcome to the club. I hope you have alcohol.
Thanks. I just met with my Tesla advisor at the Tesla Store after getting the “Welcome to Tesla family” email. He was very helpful, explained everything in detail and got me a MYP for test drive on the spot; same color, same everything but white seats. I test drove by myself for about an hour; the car handles pretty well for its weight and it’s indeed fast. Coincidence or not my EDD now says “8/22 to 9/11” which I take with a grain of salt but will gladly take it! :)

A bigger car and a front facing car seat when he’s big enough will be life changing for you guys!! Although, then they can see you, so no more being able to sneak snacks in the front seat lol!

Wait, you guys can sneak snacks? My rear-facing 3-year old can hear my husband opening a protein bar wrapper within a nanosecond.

Took a long time to catch up on the thread, but many pages back some of you were talking about maybe going on hold in hopes of the tax credit being back. I’m not holding my breath on it getting passed but if it does the original proposed bill had this wording:

1. Eliminates the 200,000 cap on cars eligible for tax credits for cars bought after May 24, 2021.

‍As of now, only GM and Tesla have reached 200,000 EVs produced. GM and Tesla were thus no longer eligible for the EV tax credit, so both companies stand to benefit.

This cap is eliminated retroactively for vehicles sold after May 24, 2021 (Chairman's Mark, p. 30). This means that any cars sold by GM and Tesla after May 24, 2021 will be eligible for up to a $7,500 tax credit. In sum: the 200,000 cap removal would be retroactive and applied to Tesla cars bought after May 24, 2021. A $7,500 tax credit would apply to 2021 taxes that are filed in 2022, so buyers would receive the credit when they file taxes in 2022.”

So if this wording is still in play AND it gets passed, you would still get a $7500 tax credit, if you took delivery after 5/24. Granted you would not get the additional $2500 for being an American company that kicks in 1/1/2022.
