Ok, made my drive back home and was able to spend the day with the car today. Overall very happy with the car. Drives great, tech is great, audio is great.

Paint and gaps are perfect. I can't find any gaps that look far enough out for me to notice without really really looking. The paint is great, no blemishes, chips or any issues.

The steering wheel is maybe 3 degrees off. Just a little and maybe enough to annoy me, but I forget about it until I get in the cat again. I'll get that fixed when I go into service for some reason.

The interior is mainly in really nice shape. But I have a few issues.

1. It looks like the roof come with a plastic covering to protect it. A little of it is left in a corner and I can't get it off. I am going to use an exacto knife to remove it.

2. My largest issue is that after the car was made, the rear seats were put flat pressing the seatbelt between the back and bottom of the seats. There is a belt stain everywhere the belt was pressed in. This is in the 3rd mostly, but on a 2nd row seat also. I have tried baby wipes, alcohol and soap. Nothing even removes a little bit of it.

3. There is a stain in the headliner. Maybe where the tech touched it with a dirty hand? We haven't tried to clean it yet. Maybe steam and Oxyclean to get it out.

4. Now this is not a delivery issue as much as just information as a person coming from a proper 3 row SUV. Its not easy to fit my 7/5 year olds back there. I have to steal room from the 1st and 2nd row to give them room so their feet aren't smooshed. My my HL, the 1st and 2nd row have plenty of row and the 3rd row has good leg room. The HL is 11 inches longer than the Y. But I am really wondering how long until my kids stop fitting back there. So if you are like me and that 3rd row is really important, you might want to think about the $3k cost of that 3rd row since its not really a proper 3rd row.

It appears so. It's on their website as well. "As of September 18, 2021, vehicle products, and solar panels are no longer eligible for Referral awards."

the 1000 miles free charging was never a big deal anyways… unless you referred tons of people such as YouTubers, etc, as you can use it what, 5 times at the most? I just supercharged for the first time ever as a test, as I do have a home charger and haven’t traveled with the car yet. The really great deal was the lifetime deal for the early adopters…

I’ve ordered the third row also. Hoping to get some use out of it with 3 boys (plus friends) at ages 10, 7, and 2.

Sad to see those issues with the seats. I would put in a service request and have them replace the seats. I had two spots on my headliner but they were much lighter than yours and I was able to clean them with water and a towel. Maybe have them address that as well.

Crap, I figured we referred ourselves when we ordered forever ago but it's not actually showing in my loot box. Our S with free unlimited supercharger miles is no longer as practical for road trips so I was hoping to get a few free trips out of the Y. Womp, I guess it's too late.
After looking at my Model Y order (delivery date, 9/27/2021) and digging through the corners, I don't see, and haven't seen, any comments about the Referral Award of 1000 Supercharger miles.
On both of the orders made leading up to getting the VIN for this car, one on 6/30/2021 and one on 7/12/2021, I was very careful to order it using my spouse's Model 3 loot box code.
So, just chugged an email off to the SA, the order assistance people at Springfield, NJ, and the delivery assistance people in Springfield, asking, more or less, "What gives?"
For what it's worth: Double-checked Tesla's Referral Code web page at Referral Program. According to that, we should get the Award. And, since it's two different accounts, one for the spouse, one for me, maybe we both get 1000 miles of Supercharging.
I'll let you guys know what I find out.

Well given the amount of time we guys wait we don’t really complain despite this being such an expensive investment for most. However the good thing is that majority of these aren’t significant issues. Anyways it is the extreme demand which is forcing some imperfect QC processes. The technician who was supposed to have checked probably saw it but he has to balance it between delivery time lag and the minor issue and simply pushed it off to the consumer. To this day we haven’t heard of major issues being reported by any consumers (knock on wood)

Fingers crossed but they usually assign a VIN before being in the EDD. You’re probably going to have your EDD updated tomorrow or so since you don’t have a VIN yet.

lots of people in the CA waiting room thread have had the same thing happen. They enter their EDD without a VIN and next day or two the EDD will update.
No I've seen a vin be assigned even within the EDD.
