Unpopular opinion...is anyone else kind of happy that our delivery’s are getting pushed back slowly? I sort of want to wait and see what Elon/Tesla has to say about auto high beam issue, how soon AP steer will return to 90mph, and safety features are tested with new Tesla Vision.
This new update that’s being thrown at us for sure dampened my excitement for this purchase and I’m certain I’m not the only one.
Tesla has a body shop service now. Either way, it takes a SUPER long time to get parts. If you think waiting for a Y is long, you haven’t seen long. Tesla uses all parts for their cars, so extras from Tesla take forever. Really a bummer. I needed a new hood (long story) and it took six weeks to arrive. The bolts for it took another four weeks. No joke.My friend just took delivery of his MY 3 days ago and then today this happened. Does anyone have experience with fixing a Tesla after an accident?

Yeah I’m kinda there with you. It’s a strange time for all car manufacturers and each has their own problem right now. I’m happy Tesla can adapt and break through some of the problems traditional manufacturers have by being more agile and reliant on software over hardware at the expense of some tweaks here and there….as long as they remain safe.Unpopular opinion...is anyone else kind of happy that our delivery’s are getting pushed back slowly? As long as it’s not raining dark orThere will always be something. Going from radar to camera was the biggest change in some time, and that’s already out in the wild and seems to be ok.
A beauty! Congrats!I stopped by the Columbus SC this evening while my wife was getting her teeth cleaned nearby... and found my MYP with matching VIN sitting right there on the lot! It apparently just arrived - the transport truck was even still parked in the alley behind the building. So far everything I can see appears to be in great shape.
I confirmed with one of the SAs they they'll check it over and detail it tomorrow (and apply the free PPF!) and then I should be all set for my delivery appointment right when they open on Friday
Ok, whew. I got the same thing. I wasn’t sure if that was actually a thing. So maybe there’s hope. The delivery advisor I talked to said it should be built this week. Did your VIN disappear today too?I emailed my SC today about scheduling delivery and was told that VIN I received is a “preproduction VIN” and my car is yet to be built. :-/
You can ask your delivery advisor. Another tell-tale sign is if you actually get your link to schedule delivery.I got my van today how can you tell if it’s already built?
You’ll get an email letting you know you need to finalize payment…then log into your Tesla account (not the app). The VIN should be assigned and delivery date inclidedHow did you receive your vin? Just in your Tesla account?

@rohiggidy Did they take the car inside or to another area for the fixes and how long did it take? What did you do during this time?Great experience on delivery day. i had them adjust one of the back doors. A few cosmetic issues also which shouldnt have been there. No mud flaps or PPF. that was disappointing. none of the cars at mount kisco had them
they adjusted it in the back. The delivery specialist wiped down the car for me. it was dirty inside like it was a rejected delivery car. You can see the dash guard loosen@rohiggidy Did they take the car inside or to another area for the fixes and how long did it take? What did you do during this time?
