Wow, that's crazy. As overworked as SC employees are, I've always seen happy, smiling, cheerful staff at several stores and SCs.

Seeing the condition of the demo and the manager's reluctance to budge, I would've simply rejected the car. I can understand your frustrations and asking the detail guy to "stop touching my car" shouldn't warrant the kind of response you received. The fact the manager just stood there and threatened to report a customer for trespassing speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism at that particular SC. On the other hand, we're only getting your side of events. No offense, I've been duly reminded recently that there's always two sides to a story.

Do you have any witnesses of the interaction? I would definitely report this to corporate and obviously won't accept the demo car nor trust this SC to service your Tesla (if you still want a Tesla) in the future. I wonder if the "detail guy" is a Tesla employee or a vendor they outsource to. The guy is probably also under pressure and overworked but doesn't justify that sort of response.

Look - I don't need to lie about this.

End of the day - there is no excuse for the way I was treated by their detail staff, managers and delivery specialists.

I have bought 100s of cars throughout my life, and never had this kind of interaction. Are you insinuating something? This is a Tesla - not a Lamborghini. Lambo/Rolls Royce/Bentley come to my house to pick up my cars for service and not once has a porter/detail tech/service tech/etc said they're willing to take an assault charge for telling them not to touch my property, and let alone the managers stand by idle and watch.

This is my first and last Tesla. Trading this in for a G63. I don't know why I bothered wasting my time. Terrible brand and terrible service.

Nobody said you were lying, but it is odd you replied back as such...

Im 45 and I have only bought 10's of cars what do you do that you have bought hundreds?

Anyone who got there cars delivered, can you answer this. When you accept the vision terms and you get a vin and get new delivery date. Which is usually a 3-4 day. Does that mean the delivery truck will get there between those dates with your car ? Or is that when you usually pick up your car at service center.

No, I’m not insinuating anything, other than my desire to hear all sides. Like I said, the response was unwarranted and the manager should have stepped in to de-escalate the situation rather than threaten to call police on a customer.

Sounds like the entire situation spiraled and got bad very quickly, and that makes me wonder what’s the backstory on others involved to drive that sort of reaction. Again, report it to corporate.

I'm a new member here and I believe I cannot PM yet. I do not need a referral code necessarily but would like to understand from someone with experience how they approached the financing with DCU. Timing with delivery date, rates, paperwork involved, what to expect day of delivery again from a finance perspective etc.

If you are a DCU member, you can request an auto loan from the web app itself.
If you are not a DCU member, @sgalla04 can refer (as per his signature) or you can join directly by paying to a charity, it should be on their site.

Timeline: After you get VIN/MVPA, you can apply for the loan and upload the MVPA, the important step is to call them, talk to them ask them 1.24% and after approval ask them to send you a picture of your check and FedEx tracking which they do overnight.
Some SC'S will take the check picture as proof if FedEx is going to them.
I had time, I asked them to send it to me.

But the trick is to call them, they are overwhelmed now, so use the feature to call you back, they will call back in 2 hrs or so.

Got my VIN today. 210xxx

Ordered 05/15 MY LR | White | 20'' Induction Wheels | 5 seats | Black/White Interior | No Tow | FSD - New York City, NY

EDD went to July 18-August 03 this morning and now it changed to June 21 - June 28 (in line with what it was yesterday).
Ok yesterday my VIN vanished. Today I got a new VIN assigned 211xxx and it's different! I'll have to go update my insurance. Also EDD went back to June 22 - June 28 from 9-11 weeks. Only difference is that I no longer see an option to send in a payment.
