Unpopular opinion...is anyone else kind of happy that our delivery’s are getting pushed back slowly? I sort of want to wait and see what Elon/Tesla has to say about auto high beam issue, how soon AP steer will return to 90mph, and safety features are tested with new Tesla Vision.

This new update that’s being thrown at us for sure dampened my excitement for this purchase and I’m certain I’m not the only one.

There will always be something. Going from radar to camera was the biggest change in some time, and that’s already out in the wild and seems to be ok.

My friend just took delivery of his MY 3 days ago and then today this happened. Does anyone have experience with fixing a Tesla after an accident?

Tesla has a body shop service now. Either way, it takes a SUPER long time to get parts. If you think waiting for a Y is long, you haven’t seen long. Tesla uses all parts for their cars, so extras from Tesla take forever. Really a bummer. I needed a new hood (long story) and it took six weeks to arrive. The bolts for it took another four weeks. No joke.

Yeah I’m kinda there with you. It’s a strange time for all car manufacturers and each has their own problem right now. I’m happy Tesla can adapt and break through some of the problems traditional manufacturers have by being more agile and reliant on software over hardware at the expense of some tweaks here and there….as long as they remain safe.

I currently own an M3 (2 years today, actually) and am not concerned over some of the changes to my MY, whenever I get it. Reliance on OTA updates quell a lot of the uncertainty of long term impact. As long as it’s safe and under my control, which it has been over the last 2 years for me, I’m okay with waiting out what I perceive to be a correctable problem whether or not I take delivery in 1 day or 100 days from now.

I stopped by the Columbus SC this evening while my wife was getting her teeth cleaned nearby... and found my MYP with matching VIN sitting right there on the lot! It apparently just arrived - the transport truck was even still parked in the alley behind the building. So far everything I can see appears to be in great shape.

I confirmed with one of the SAs they they'll check it over and detail it tomorrow (and apply the free PPF!) and then I should be all set for my delivery appointment right when they open on Friday 🎉
A beauty! Congrats!

Well, i did a thing. I saw the many MY listed under the existing inventory and snagged one that was identical to my order (My original order was placed 5/24 for Red with white interior, 7 seats, gemini , no tow and no fsd. The one i got today has induction wheels (which i was going to change to my original order) and Tow hitch. I took that one to be matched to me and i got a vin and delivery of June 11-17!!! I am beyond excited as i feel like i got a shortcut to getting my car way ahead of schedule. I'm guessing no one wanted the same configuration as me, with it being 3rd row seats as well.

Story time!
LOL! Ok, the short version...

Well, we were on our way to my work Christmas party. He came to pick me and some friends up at a hotel room they'd gotten. He was sober but we'd had a drink and he was showing off, not paying attention to where he was going and ran over a center divider curb at probably 40 mph. It completely ripped the font suspension right out of the car. Needless to say I was beyond pissed.
Had the S towed to the dealership on the back of a flatbed (thank you Telsa roadside) since it was 11pm thats all we could think to do at the time. Telsa got us an Uber home and this was the start of a 10 month journey to get the car repaired. Then Tesla had NO ability to work on a car outside of normal warranty work and basic stuff. They had no ability to do major damage repairs so after a month of it sitting in the shop they finally had it towed to a shop here that could do aluminum welding work. They did all the major work and then sent it back to Tesla for testing and sign off. The result of it all was a LOT of conversations with the manager of the SC and they started working on plans to build paint shops and repair shops in the SC themselves.
Incase your curious the final bill for the repairs was over 48k LOL

Got a 'final balance now ready' email this afternoon. Payment methods described did not match, so I called SA -- clarified, no issues. Set appointment for pick up over the weekend (3.5 hour drive, live in a state that bans direct sales). 2 minutes later, regular SA calls and tells me I can pick up next week -- glad the other person answered when I called -- would have had to delay to the following weekend. Order complete: 3/27. Updated Tracker.

@rohiggidy Did they take the car inside or to another area for the fixes and how long did it take? What did you do during this time?
they adjusted it in the back. The delivery specialist wiped down the car for me. it was dirty inside like it was a rejected delivery car. You can see the dash guard loosen
