Yep, they are really milking this cow, and eating the seed corn of good will from the early adopters.

On top of the $100 and $250, already given, I suspect…cant sit in it. cant test drive it. but better fork over $1,000 non refundable asap to get one...
More likely a cash flow management technique. Free money, no interest. Progress payment…I think they're just trying to separate the wheat from the chaff so to speak - put up or shut up type approach. That said - it is a bit of a big ask considering you're literally buying entirely based on faith given we cannot even sit in or drive any of the CT demos that are available at various locations today. Seems out of kilter to me given we're talking about a six figure expenditure here.
Interior might…. be unimpressiven and spartan. Milk the cows first?!This remains to me the most unbelievable part of this whole rollout. I can’t understand the motivation.

One degree of separation. From fools and their money. Like the Roadster 2 folks.
At least the cows are getting fed something they can digest. What CT reservation holders are being fed comes from the end of the cow as shown.
I was a believer too in 2017.Hey!... I ordered a Roadster 2 also.
It could be once you sit in it, you realize the view of the interior is rather unimpressive for the price point. This remains to me the most unbelievable part of this whole rollout. I can’t understand the motivation.

Form follows function.
It’s a truck. How “impressive“ does a truck interior need to be? I, for one, think the spartan interior is appropriate.
Not being argumentative, but define “nice”.Spartan works for me, with a Spartan price.
At nearly 100k, should be as nice as a Rivian, just saying.
Speculating here since I can only get a glimpse from the influencers vids, in which some say there is a lot of hard plastic inside the CT. The one Rivian I saw has a lot less of that. Not being argumentative, but define “nice”.
Yes, just a brief glimpse. Either Sandy or Kim Java.Has anyone seen a reviewer talk about the front camera? Looking in the parts catalogue they specifically mention it, and the washer nozzle.View attachment 999252

Didn’t I say that earlier? It could be once you sit in it, you realize the view of the interior is rather unimpressive for the price point.
Best viewed from outside, in a lawn chair at a car show, watching other peoples reactions.
Oof.Parts catalog shows the CT windshield replacement to be $1,900 and wiper replacement $75.
Windshield wiper blade: $75Oof.
