My interior designer J. Douglas is offering a 25% discount for Tesla owners. This guy has been in business in Dallas for over 20 years and does absolutely fantastic work. He has clients all over the country but his showroom is at the corner of Oak Lawn Avenue and Hall Street in Uptown and is definitely worth a visit. I have been trying to convince him to install a Tesla wall charger at his location for customers to use but he thinks I am the only one that will use it! While I like to think I am a great customer, he is totally over me telling him how great Tesla vehicles are so I think he needs YOU to remind him about how great Tesla OWNERS are... :smile: Please take advantage of the discount and I will work on getting him to install the Tesla charger!

I'm coming up this Friday for the Comic Con. Looks like the Omni convention center hotel has Level 2 charging right in their garage.
Kinda takes the adventure out.

Plan B: Has anybody used the AeroVironMent plug by City Hall? Allegedly needs the AV RFID card. Or will a call to the 888 number activate it?

Hi SW2Fiddler,

I go to an annual convention in Houston every February. On the way to Houston I top off at the Huntsville supercharger. It gives me enough range for the three day conference, but I do not drive around much once I am there.

On the way back I charge at the Corsicana supercharger. It is a little tricky to find as it is kind of hidden behind the Whataburger at a Holiday Inn Express on the east side service road. It is only about 58 miles to the convention center from there. If you are at full range from there you will have a hundred or so miles of range during the convention which should allow you to get back to Coriscana easily.

Most of the Walgreen's have chargers and all the Twin Peaks have Blink network chargers. But you may need to pack heat if you go there.

If you go to that location, you might want to check if it is turned "ON".
Also, because Makerspace is a low overhead type facility, be sure to give them like $10 or so should you charge there.

NorthPark Mall has six or seven 80 A HPWC in the underground parking, adjacent to the Tesla Gallery there (charging there is no cost).
Lots of Options inside the Mall to eat, shop, see movies, browse the Tesla Gallery.

And yes, it is on as per our agreement with Tesla for Destination Charging.

I have enjoyed the NP Mall more than once in the past. I like talking to the Gallery's manager, who helped me order Pearlie May when I was visiting Austin Domain and he was there. He knows many secrets about future Superchargers!

I haven't had a chance to visit the Makerspace yet (or Guy Squyres' place for that matter) and probably will not have the free time to range that far away from the Convention Center. Later visit I certainly will add these 'badges' to my Map!

I was asking about the Aerovironment units by City Hall because they are free, right next to the convention where I can let the car sit, and one of them allegedly still works.

Aerovironment called me back today, left a message that "yes, they're free and you can call the 888 number to activate a session." I take it no locals have tried them?
