Dear Elon,......

I’m your boy. I got back til the bitter end.

When you say, you’ll be the last to sell.......I cry bullshit. I’ll be the last to sell.

I work with a bunch of climate science denying, trump supporting, hard core conservatives, that believe that I owe them money because I invested in Tesla...........with tax credits.

Elon, I agree with you, incentives should be ended, for everything.

My daughter stood in line 5 and one-half hours......to reserve my Model 3. Do not tell my other children, she IS my favorite.

Damn, you must have the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Send me a Model 3....... my word brother, I’ll run with it

Don't worry those climate deniers, oil supporters are in for a world of hurt. Some might say some stormy weather is coming and going to cause a tsunami or hurt like the shorts know of.

My sister was buying a Chevy Traverse over the weekend and my 10 year old niece asked the salesman if they could get an electric one. The salesman said that they didn't make an electric SUV. Being 10, she doesn't miss a beat and tells him "Yes they do, the doors fold up and it can play a Christmas song. I've seen it". My sister starts laughing and explains to her that not all vehicles do that.

When a 10 year old can't understand why a vehicle is not electric the future is bright and clean.

I love that story! Thank you.

The kids get it even if the adults sometimes don’t. EVs are a generational change. When your neice’s generation comes to car-buying (or at least car-using) age they will expect all cars to be electric, internet-connected, and self-driving.

I’m 64 and even I get it. ;)

Your 10 year old kid will never own a car. We are in the midst of the biggest transportation transformation ever. The baby boomers were cheated. We saw the aviation industry stagnate with development except for fuel efficiency. We saw cars just get fancier.

Soon, no one will need to own a car. They will just come to us and take us where we want to go. If we need a 2 seat that will come. If we need a 6 seat that will come. Will they be electric, probably.

Lets have some fun here...... Unseasonably cold here in New Jersey......man I can't wait for this global warming thing to come that everyone's been talking about. I can't wait for summer all year round......
Better not ... I will surely miss the possibility to go skating

Three of our cars run off solar power, with the leftover power being used to create jobs and reduce GHG. You might be greener than me, and you might work with more scientists daily than I do (JPL/NASA/ATK/NDA are some of our majors, most the rest are bleeding-edge medical devices companies). But you are also uninformed it seems.

AFAIK, Tesla's opinion last I heard:
1) Kill the incentives now for everybody. Tesla is about to hit it's limit, and it will give competitors who are selling only compliance cars the edge if the incentives stay active.
2) Extend the incentives now, so we are also on a level playing field.

When I was five (1960's) we walked down highways every Saturday and picked up cans and deposit bottles. Sure it was because we were poor, but it was also because it was good for the ecology. Yes, we called it ecology long ago. There were two groups, ecologists, and those who weren't. I don't remember childish insults or elections being as big a part of it as it is today.

I didn't stand in line to reserve a car on March 31st. Not because it's wasteful to drive somewhere when you can do the same thing online (greener), but because there was a satellite that was 2 weeks late, and I wasn't going to make it be 2 weeks and a day. Who knows? It could have a Climate Acknowledger Satellite. Naw, it was classified, but still more important than an EV when I drove an EV to work that day.

I'm a 'Climate Denier' and I believe Theodore Roosevelt was the best President since the Civil War, closely followed by Ronald Reagan.
I'm not a member of PETA, and I don't feed my dogs a Vegan diet. I don't believe humans are highest level of intelligence that exists (wow wouldn't we be in trouble if THAT were true).

My kids drive electric cars, helped me put up solar panels (we did it ourselves, 20kW so far, 4.2kW addition started this weekend), and help us recycle.

So how could I be a 'Climate Denier'? Because folk like you say I am. You were told what to think by NBC/ABC/CBS/MSNBC/CNN and the national organization for socialism. Today 'saying' something makes it a fact. There is no debate, data, analysis, cause-and-effect, science, that supercedes Farcebook/TMZ/CNN/Twerker, etc.

I have watched our collective IQ fall. Some say that's a good sign; that believing everything you're told is good for the Party/State. I just never bought into that horse-poop.

Seriously. PEOPLE BELIEVE ROBOTS ARE TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!!! Hehehe... Wow are they clueless. They are older than I am and predate computers. That's how stupid we are today. We can't understand that automation is as old as mankind and we still exist. Because TheCNNState told us the Robots are rising up Today, so it must be absolutely true 100%.

Umm, there's plenty of data and science on the subject. Even a firm scientific consensus. I personally always go with scientific consensus - the only potential exception being one of my own research subjects about which I have a extensive direct knowledge and the necessary background skills. With everything else (i.e. outside of one's core competency) one maximize one's likelihood of being correct by following the current scientific consensus. There have been instances where I have been wrong because I have been so ignorant that I have misunderstood even the consensus.

I don't understand why laymen take strong personal stances on scientific issues that they don't have a deep understanding of but that's just me. Perhaps it's too much of a stretch for most to admit that one doesn't know enough to formulate a fact based opinion - rather than one based on personal desire.

You missed the entire point. I'm a Climate Denier not because any action I take against the environment, but because non-Democrats are all Climate Deniers. Saying it makes it true. Actions and deeds are nothing; everything is defined by words.

I've seen no proof whatsoever that Climate Deniers even exist. It's a political term used to describe 'the enemy'. Does anybody believe the Earth has no climate? Really? ARRGGHHH!!!

Oh, OK. I'm from Europe so I didn't know that a political party in the USA would be so strongly associated with a stance on climate. My bad, have to stay out of discussions involving your internal politics in the future.

The only people who believe that "saying something makes it a fact", are people who: 1) do not understand the concept of critical thinking and data analysis, 2) most of the people working in the current administration, 3) Fox News hosts.

McRat, do you seriously believe that when the human race is pumping countless gigatons (38.1 billion tons) of CO2 into the atmosphere every year that that has absolutely no effect on climate? Seriously?

So you believe the human race is not having any effect on the climate. Please elaborate, citing the data analysis and cause and effect science you mentioned above.

Yes, post #1 made it a Political Thread put into a tech area.

Climate Denier is a term owned by the US Democratic Party. You can pollute all you want as long as you say the right things while doing it.

Post #1 provided the Classic:

Driving to a Tesla Store instead of ordering online is 'green'.

Really? Sure it is! The words make it true! Green is words, not actions.
