Re: leasing
Yes, Tesla's lease restrictions, residual and money factor all are terrible. But, why not just do a balloon? It gives flexibility, MRMs are high, money factor is sub 6% and extra miles usually end up being 10-15c worst case. I'll never buy a Tesla after learning my lesson on S Plaid. Balloon's are particularly attractive on the X Plaid atm though. I'm approved for one, just hoping my vin is a 23 so they don't reset the MRM. Ordered MXP 9/1 with EDD oct-nov

I almost don’t want to know i got someone rejected vehicle. Is it possible to skip this vin and get reassigned another one?
Inventory or rejected (I would rather call it deal fell through because it could be financial reason) doesn’t always mean bad vehicle. I will say go and inspect the car first before rejecting it. My last X, I went to the delivery center before my pick up date and found my car in the parking lot and inspected it. Maybe you can do the same

I absolutely agree with you. Just because a vehicle is labeled as "inventory" or had a deal fall through doesn't automatically mean there's an issue with the car itself. Personal inspection is key before making a final decision. In fact, just three weeks ago, my wife switched her order to an inventory vehicle—an MXLR with only 14 miles on it. A thorough inspection revealed no problems, and the car has been performing flawlessly since then. Whenever feasible, it's highly recommended to personally inspect and assess the vehicle.

Best rates I've see is thru Navy Federal Credit Union | Banking, Loans, Mortgages & Credit Cards. I just need to figure out how to become a member.
Maybe not for 84 months, but everything below that is again, best I've found.

Loan TypeUp to 36 mos. APR as low as37-60 mos. APR as low as61-72 mos. APR as low as73-84 mos. APR as low as85-96 mos. APR as low as

Those rates don’t look that great. USSFC has better rates and anyone can join via a simple free membership of American Consumer Council. I just got 5.74% for 84 months there this morning
thanks i applied for the certification with American Consumenr Council if it gets approved will apply through USSFCU, the loan specialist mentioned no payroll deduction is not required but only automatic EFT to qualify for 5.49% 6 yr

Update to my previous post: Vin is 415XXX The vin designates it as a 2023 model year.

Order Date Sept 1
ODD Sept-Oct
ODD 2 Oct - Nov
ODD 3 Sept 22 - Oct 13
ODD 4 Sept 19 - Sept 25
Salt Lake City Delivery
Long Range, Midnight Silver, 5 seat black Interior, 20 inch wheels.
Trading in a Raven LR+ X with FSD.

Took delivery on 9/20 in Pleasant Grove UT. The car is a 9/2023 build. The build quality is fine, but I'm not that picky. There is nothing that I noted that needed attention. This is our 3rd time with a Model X (2017 100D, 2021 LR+, 2023 Refresh X). The delivery center was packed full of new cars waiting for their new owners. The car did not come preloaded with FSD but I did receive an email from Tesla 24 hours after delivery that the FSD had been transferred from our old X to the new X, but I have not received the update yet, so I will have to wait until they push a version to the car with FSD. As a side note, we charged our trade in X to 100 percent for the drive to Utah and the range was 357 miles with nearly 41,000 miles on the odometer. We have owned the car just a few days short of 3 years. The original range when new was 370, so only a 3.5% loss. Our new x has a rated range of 348, so less than the car we traded in :( My original plan was to hold on to our 2021 X and trade it in on a Cybertruck (I have a first day reservation), but I just couldn't pass up the FSD transfer and price drop. What a deal. I'm still in the halo stage with the new car so it will take some time to figure out what I like and don't like about the refresh. I'll probably put together a Youtube summary video in a week or two. Best of luck to everyone playing the waiting game. I feel very lucky to have received mine, but my holdout position would have been to cancel the reservation if I would have missed out on the FSD transfer.

Go with USSFCU then. Their rates are pretty much on par with Navy FCU right now.
