You may never know. Sometimes, this happens when a vehicle is damaged in transit and has to be repaired before continuing to its destination (hail, fell off transport truck, vandalized, etc.). Such damage will not appear on a vehicle history report and may not have to be disclosed depending on state requirements.
Or changes to shipping schedules based on various factors of which we are not privy to.

If you contact Tesla and get someone who at least pretends to be helpful you might get a better answer but probably not.. "We see the same information you do.." bs.

Well, it happened. I curved a wheel. I am still using the Gemini covers from factory. @erktrek, @Skunis are you happy with your covers?View attachment 938526
Sorry to hear..

I have not curbed my wheels... but Yeah!! Love'm!! I have no FEAR to the curb Makes the MYLR much more sportier. The car now looks like MYPs aggressiveness.

Ouch! Yes they are working out well...actually ordered another set for backups. Here is are some pics. The last one is our curbing on a right turn (I think I mistakenly posted previously it was a left turn)..

RU really gonna replace a new hubcap everytime you curb'em ??!! :p This sch!tt is gonna get REALLY pricy soon 🙃

In nearly 40 years of owning nearly three dozen automobiles, I've curbed two of them - a 1999 Regal about 20 years ago while turning and not paying attention (before smartphones) and a 2020 CX-5 a few years ago in parking lot where I ran into a curb hidden by snow (it rarely snows here). When I look at wheels on other vehicles while stopped at intersections or walking through parking lots, it seems that most of them have curb rash. My OCD demands that I replace or repair the wheel or sell the "now-destroyed" vehicle if it gets curb rash. :)

Nope - not quite that fussy! This last curbing incident seems okay so will likely keep using the existing caps.

Not sure how long this particular style of hubcap will be in stock/available over the next few years so figured it was nice to have on hand just in case. Also now it will allow me to have 2 screwups per side!

Probably should have gone Aliexpress for the second set tho.

Likely my final post on this thread as I took delivery of my MYP White/White 21inch Hitch yesterday at the Vancouver, WA dealership. You may recall from previous posts that I had switched my original 4/27 MYLR order to MYP on 5/11 after a LOT of internal debate. On 5/12 I checked inventory and my exact model was available in Vancouver though that is 3+ hours from my home dealership here in Bend, OR. I had work in Portland early this week so booked one way ticket Monday before Ubering to dealer across the Columbia river. Experience at dealership was very good. Only surprise was that I got just a 3 day "trip permit" and now need to file for consecutive 21-day Oregon trip permits until I get my plates at $34 per permit. Car was in great shape and thoroughly enjoyed the 160mile drive back to Bend. Sure, there were a few phantom brake moments and other nuances of the standard Autopilot to get used to. But the performance, ride and sound system were terrific. I did hit the car wash in Bend as I had a bunch of bugs splatted all over the car -- they all came off on first wash (no plan for PPF or ceramic coating). I even did automated wash and it didn't scrape my Uberturbine wheels. Very happy with my decision with MYP. No regrets.

Appreciate everyone's help here over the past few weeks. Enjoy your delivery day .... it is super fun!

Just returned from my first (and hopefully last) service appointment, having Tesla take care of a few alignment issues from delivery. I'm very happy with the results!

On delivery (May 1), there was trunk misalignment, contacting the tail light assembly, hanging past the bumper, and making some noise while driving. I also had a badly misaligned rear passenger window which they had improved on delivery day, but I took back for better alignment.

I used the Watertown service center to get a sooner appointment scheduled. They didn't provide a loaner for just 1/2 day service, however they provided me $100 daily uber credit while my car was there. The results are quite good! The rear hatch is much better, flush with bumper and they touched up the paint underneath where it contacted the tail light assembly.

I will note the left/right sides of the hatch do have slightly different gaps between it and the quarter panels, but it's not obvious without measuring and you can't see both at the same time anyway. I think it's the best they can possibly do knowing they can't move other panels around like puzzle pieces, and I'm completely happy with the outcome.

The window is now perfectly aligned with the trim. I also asked in the service tickets if I should have received mudflaps at delivery, and they went ahead and added the front mudflaps for free. Headlights were also aligned (using wall method apparently), but I have not tested them yet.

I also really liked being able to monitor the service dashboard from the app and click into each to see the log of details. I noticed they were on the last piece as I was finishing lunch, so I summoned an uber to head back for pick up. I didn't have to go in and sign anything, just went straight to my car after receiving the message it was complete.

Nice! If you can upload all the pictures again, that will be great and helpful. Somehow none of your pictures works.

On the 3 day trip permit I drove 2 weeks and never got pulled over.
It is hard to read through the dark glass anyway.

I got a bit nervous and finally went into the DMV and just registered the car after requesting the proper paperwork which a helpful sales rep emailed me.. After filing I received plates but Now that I think about it Have not received the state title. Guess I better check to see what happened there.
Separately I did receive a bundle of paperwork just short of a month after picking up the Y and it did include the Certificate of Origin which states the SAE Horsepower Checked today and even though they issued my plates and stickers they were waiting for Tesla or me to supply the Certificate of Origin to issue a state title. Took care of that today.

Congrats on the New Y Performance Glad it All worked out.
Followup on the incident fast forward to 40 secs on the left repeater camera you can see the guy pulls and spat at my car.

Have no idea why he did that.. My only guess is that he got upset and me passing him on the right lane... Again still don't see you the reason why he should be upset

Another incident for me today. Two days ago in a Walmart parking lot, sentry mode recorded a lady walking by and then hovering around the front of my Y . She then walks to an early 90s Chevy pickup and points at my car in some discussion with the driver of the truck. Eventually They leave in the truck. Today on the way home what appears to be the same truck ( had some identifying features) Pulls out in front of me on a state hiway, then turns on their flashers and drives the next 4 miles at about 40 MPH in a 55 zone. I backed farther away instead of passing them and kept my distance. When I reached my turn off , I pulled over and watched the truck they turned off their flashers and sped up to the speed limit. Grrrr

Just came back from our first service appointment... The curbed wheel incident I mentioned in earlier posts actually caused a small gash in the tire sidewall with a little flap of rubber hanging off. Thought it might be okay but wanted to get it checked out just in case as we are thinking about some possible road trips this summer.

Yesterday scheduled a service request via the app and it appeared to say next Monday but switched to being next Weds after creating - something to pay attention to in the future! I then went into manage appointment and this morning at 8 am popped up so grabbed it. Was first one there and was in and out within 20 mins - tire was actually okay, the gash did not penetrate to the threads and all the tech did was glue the flap back on.. all good 😌. He said the aftermarket hubcap did it's job and the rim looks fine. If it had been a problem the cost would likely have been around $400 USD (not sure if labor is included or not).

All in all a great first experience - techs and reps were very friendly also helped that the SC is 10-15 mins away from us.

As an aside it is very interesting that when I was signing in and handing over my key card the Rep at the service desk asked me to stand in front of the desk not the side because there was proprietary info on her computer screen that she did not want me to see... "We see what you see" indeed.

I know it's service vs sales but the point remains that the staff at a Showroom/Service Center DO actually have access to more Tesla info than we do.. so the company line is bs.

Edit: One other comment - she said this after bringing our info up so whatever proprietary stuff was related to our profiles/vehicle or general Tesla "secrets" (Workflows? Parts Deliveries? Upcoming Vehicle data?) NOT other folks info which absolutely should be kept private.

The hole diameter is about 23mm. An industry-standard 22mm device such as an indicator light fits perfectly if you wanted to add a redundant white reverse light or red tail/stop light. You could also install a black plastic or rubber hole plug. You could also drill a hole through a hole plug and attach a small, circular motorcycle license plate-style reflector.

Wow! This morning I woke up to the same message about delivery I have seen for two weeks (may 24 - June 21 delivery) and just right after I repled above I got a flurry of emails, texts and updates. It went to May 21st - May 28th, I filled in some additional information (insurance) and then I got the schedule your delivery. Right now I am to pick it up (since I have a trade-in) on Tuesday May 24th at 1:30 PM. It is immediately going to get ppf, ceramic coating and tinting. I can't wait.
Update: After scheduling it for the 24th, I got a text asking if I wanted to pick it up sooner. Ok, I scheduled for 19th and then about an hour later got a call asking if I wanted to pick up today (18th). I did. The guy that handled the paperwork said they had just gotten 12 trucks of cars in 36 hours. There was no place to park and Tesla's were stacked four or five in an aisle.
Pickup went very smoothly, got to drive it out to the detail shop for all of the protection stuff. It is so nice to drive.

Thanks for the info. I had set an appointment during delivery, and it was set for June 12th and a SC far from home. Went to manage appointment and was able to reschedule for May 29th at a much closer SC.

The hole diameter is slightly over 23mm. We use these 7/8" (22.2mm) panel plugs at work. I tried one, but it was too small. I suspect this 15/16" (23.8mm) might work, but I'm not willing to buy a package of 50 to find out. ;)
