Thanks everyone for the comments. The bottom line car should never do ANYTHING like that, it should be SAFETY first and NOT making the exit. You can always drive back, but if you are dead or car is totaled it will be very hard to do.

I also disengage NoAP all the time, because it's not there in terms of features. It sucks at lane changing (it expects you to check the mirrors and traffic coming on on the adjacent lanes). On it's own it only checks that there is no car where it wants to go and maybe couple meters behind and in front, not up and down the lanes.
