EU finalize and deliveries

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
Call or email your Delivery Specialist or (for Europe) email [email protected]
They can see your production date in their SalesForce App.
Don't forget to add six to eight weeks for shipping and delivery to Europe.

En email to [email protected] yielded this response for me:

"Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
[email protected] ([email protected])
Your message can't be delivered because delivery to this address is restricted. "

Anyone else seen this?

Efharisto poli !
Parakalo !

In Latin Writing it's a lot easier for me to read. (TJ: a ringrazià ti).
But.... it doesn't help to get insight to the logic of reservation #, VIN, Production date etc. That stays "all Greek to me" (in non Latin Writing )

A comforting thought: about 3 more months, and most of us will have our Teslas and the long waiting will have ended.
Καλή επιτυχία!

I'll be picking up my car next week in Tilburg.

My colleague as well, but I just checked MyTesla and his car now says "In Production" again.

Doesn't seem to be correct since we made the appointment for next week :) Just 9 days and I'll have my Model S!

Very good new that deliveries start in France next week !!!
Don't know if you will be able to sleep a lot until next Tuesday ;)
Do you know how many deliveries will be done at this special event ?
Do you know why they choosed Aix en Provence ?

Yes, that is great!
I'm not, wait is crazy when it comes to the end!!

There will be 2 deliveries, mine (signature) and the one is a friend of mine (James) that will get his Signature Production but he his a roadster owner.
They chooses Aix because because we are both living closed to the city (about 15km), and it's a nice city btw!

For the second week in a row, Tesla Model S was the most selling car in Norway, with a 6.4% market share. 511 Model Ss has been delivered in Norway in total so far.

VW Golf on second place with 5% market share last week.

The Norwegian DSs are busy.
That is brutal! Really nice to see that a Golf is outsold by Model S!

Is it possible to put production/delivery on hold after finalizing?

My delivery went from "august" to "september" to "second half of october" to "middle/end of november". Also "your car can be picked up from the nearest service center" became "pick up in Tilburg or from a service center for a fee" and now "you have to pick up your car in Tilburg because you live in a unprioritized market".

This means I have to either bring my whole family to the Netherlands or arrange with 3 days of 24-hour babysitters (we have a pair of high maintenance twin boys) to do a 2-3 day trip along a route that has zero superchargers.

It also means I have to buy winter wheels from Tesla (or bring them on the plane down) because it is illegal (and not recommended) to drive through Sweden and in Finland on summer tires. I have an offer for the rims and tires I want to use, but can not order them with this unclear situation.

This is not what I signed up for 2 years ago. Right now I'd rather put this whole thing on hold, and perhaps take delivery in april or not at all. I don't NEED a new car and can do other things with my EUR 100K+ (used boat market is looking interesting right now...)

This isn't ideal but would paying for a car transport work? You'd have to pay for it likely so might not be a great option. Definitely e-mail Tesla and ask.

@Hasse

This sounds unreasonable. It does not sound like Tesla at all. I really can’t see why you shouldn’t be able to pick the car up in Oslo. To me it sounds like someone at Tesla made a mistake. I don’t know what the right course of action is though, but hopefully someone else here has a suggestion.

Edit:

And since your delivery has been delayed: I can’t see why Tesla Oslo shouldn’t be able to get the winter wheels and tires of your choice and mount them to your car for the price you would otherwise have paid if you had done it yourself (självkostnadspris).

Isn’t that the least they should do since their 3 month delay means that you have to drive the car home when it’s winter?

Will four summer tires (with wheels) fit in the boot?

I would gladly pick up in Oslo or Copenhagen, but Tilburg is 1800km and 2-3 days away. I obviously live on the wrong side of the border.

Since a lot of people seemingly are told to pick up in Tilburg, I am surprised that none of the first 6 superchargers where located on any of the big roads leading out from Tilburg. That would otherwise be a rather logical build-out if Tesla truly has a pan-european strategy, no?

@Hasse

I don’t know, but I’m guessing Tesla’s facilities are bigger in Oslo than in Copenhagen, but on the other hand Copenhagen is closer to Tilburg…

Assuming your delivery date will be "middle/end of november":

My guess is that if you begin communicating with Tesla, and if need be, escalate your matter up the corporate latter, you should be able to pick up the car in either Copenhagen or Oslo with the winter wheels and tires of your choice mounted to your car for the price you would otherwise have paid if you bought and mounted these winter wheels and tires yourself. And the summer wheels will be in the boot (assuming Tesla doesn’t raise legitimate safety concerns regarding said choice of winter wheels and tires, and also assuming the summer wheels will fit in the boot).

I finally got a confirmed delivery date: Oct 1, 2013.

I asked, if they did not want to shift it to End of September in order to have the sale in the 3rd Quarter. But they did not seem interested.

Question:

I will recieve the invoice a few days before I get the car.

So is the revenue recorded in the third quarter regardless of the delivery in the 4rth quarter. By German accounting standards the delivery date is the important date. Anybody know?

There have been postings saying that when your status changes back to "in production" it means it has arrived safely in Tilburg! I am scheduled one day after you. Just hoping there are no more delays...

Tesla's Oslo shop is outside the EU and gets cars straight from the Tesla factory in Fremont. EU cars are sent via Tilburg for final assembly in the EU. Since Åland is in the EU, you probably need an EU car, which would probably have to be delivered from a Tesla shop inside the EU, which would be Copenhagen. Or Stockholm, eventually, as Tesla seems to be lighting up operations in Sweden now, and hiring Swedish staff.

Has any swedes gotten their Teslas delivered from the Oslo shop at all?
