I play a nice person on twitter.
That was one of the tamer ones. While I recognize that most car forums are populated by men, I appreciate the fact that Tesla (and this forum) didn't go Fisker's route.
You guys rock.

What do you have against women? I have to admit the one thing I really appreciated about the Fisker ad campaign was it brought sexy to alternative transportation. If a female holding a plug gets more guys to drive electric, (at least part of the time), is that a bad thing? I say use all weapons in the fight. That was one of the tamer ones. You can't just fall back on 'use all the weapons in the fight' if you're not using all the weapons.
With the notable exception of the Tesla Roadster, electric cars and hybrids have rarely been seen as sexy.
Take the Nissan Leaf. Cute? Yes. Cool? Yes, in that dig-my-new-smart-phone way. Sexy? Not a chance.
But perhaps that isn't the fault of the cars so much as the way we think of them. We focus on their eco credentials, their benefits to the environment, their ability to save us money at the gas pump. It doesn't even occur to most of us that these cars could be considered sexy.
Mike Cessario wants to change that. His solution? A little cheesecake.
Using sex to sell anything is not new. After GM's largely abysmal job of advertising the EV1 it was nice to see someone using the ubiquitous auto sex to sell the "nerdy" "eco green" liberal car.

New thread: Sex and the electric car?
Fair enough. Next time I plug in I'll take a pic, shirtless or no?
