Really thought this one would be the one for the wife and have been waiting for this reveal. She always wanted the backup of a gasoline engine as she does the occasional long drive. We looked at the photos and it's awesome juice is tastier than the Volt but with Fisker's problems I suggested we not do another deposit on an "unknown{ (read; risky) like we did the Roadster and Karma. Her response was she wants an all electric now. Shocked the heck out of me. How can you not love a wife like that?

Maybe we get two Bluestars!

PS
Love the color :)

That was one of the tamer ones. While I recognize that most car forums are populated by men, I appreciate the fact that Tesla (and this forum) didn't go Fisker's route.

You guys rock. :)
What do you have against women? I have to admit the one thing I really appreciated about the Fisker ad campaign was it brought sexy to alternative transportation. If a female holding a plug gets more guys to drive electric, (at least part of the time), is that a bad thing? I say use all weapons in the fight.

Uh huh.

Where are the pics of the good looking guys charging their cars? You can't just fall back on 'use all the weapons in the fight' if you're not using all the weapons.

Fair enough. Next time I plug in I'll take a pic, shirtless or no? This reminded me of my favorite car ad, the recent one for the Fiat Abarth. I have no interest in the car, and as a reasonably evolved human I completely understand what the ad is trying to do, but it still works on a primal level. Every time it comes on it grabs my attention and makes me want that car. I never knew I had a thing for women yelling in Italian.

Using sex to sell anything is not new. After GM's largely abysmal job of advertising the EV1 it was nice to see someone using the ubiquitous auto sex to sell the "nerdy" "eco green" liberal car.

With the notable exception of the Tesla Roadster, electric cars and hybrids have rarely been seen as sexy.
Take the Nissan Leaf. Cute? Yes. Cool? Yes, in that dig-my-new-smart-phone way. Sexy? Not a chance.
But perhaps that isn't the fault of the cars so much as the way we think of them. We focus on their eco credentials, their benefits to the environment, their ability to save us money at the gas pump. It doesn't even occur to most of us that these cars could be considered sexy.
Mike Cessario wants to change that. His solution? A little cheesecake.

It's just not working for me, v. Though it did make me laugh. I don't think they were going for dismissive laughter, though.

Do you guys mind not putting pictures of my sister on here? Joking

In all seriousness, If Fisker can pull it off I think the Nina will be a direct competitor to the Volt/Energi/PIP. I don't see it as a competitor to Tesla

Am I the only one that is concerned about the spec side of things? The Atlantic is good styling. Glad they went with a panorama glass roof especially with the tight interior. So far the sepcs I can descern as true/plausible is bmw generator, and single electric motor. I hope fisker can get the weight way down!
