I have a 2021 MYP on 2021.24.11 update and this happened to me twice on a 10 hour drive today ironically. The problem is it resulted in only being able to use my FSD for about 3 hours out of the duration of the drive.
Both happened when I had autopilot activated while in or entering a construction zone. Problem I had was once it happened, I lost all FSD visualization, autopilot, cruise control, lane keep, auto brights, and basically all other driver assist features.
Called Tesla after it happened the first time about 2 hours into my 10 hour drive. They said it was a communication error between the center camera in the front and the car. They recommended I reset camera calibration which I did. Tried several soft resets, changed gears, put car to sleep, turned features on and off. Nothing happened and it stayed that way for 4 hours. I did reset the dash cam USB and record a new file to it. Wife checked it while I'm the passenger seat and the video from that camera (and all others) worked great.
When I got to the next charger I shut the car down and disabled all features, disconnected phones and let it to go sleep for about 25 minutes before charging. To my surprise, all features were back and the cameras were calibrating. I charged up then got on my way.
I get 45 minutes into my drive again and when entering a construction zone BOOM! Same thing.... I gave up and drove manually the rest of the way. Opened a service ticket as well. Pretty disappointing considering I paid $10k for FSD and during a prime time to use it, I can't....
Side note, the efficiency was significantly better while all of the systems were locked out. With cruise at around 76mph and loaded down with vacation stuff I was getting around 308wh/mi when the systems worked. When they failed, I was averaging around 270wh/mi and driving it much harder with speeds around 80-90mph. Weirdest thing.
