Houston, Texas - Model Y Deliveries

Anyone get an Austin build? Or is it impossible with our State’s current car selling laws…

The car is still sold from Fremont even though you get an Austin build, and yes there are plenty of people in Houston that have taken delivery of MYSR and the new MYLR which still have 2170 batteries from Austin. No MYP's in production currently from Austin.

As predicted, with the more precise turning of the P vs LR, I knew this would eventually happen. I didn't know the P was that sharp on the corning vs the LR. I took a good chunk off.

Yikes - Contact Josh, was in same boat 24 hours after delivery (although not as bad). Josh Fixed it flwalessly looking brand new $75/wheel i've posted his contact on here before but here it is again 281-979-0945. He's mobile so he will come directly to you. Can't go wrong going his route.

Thanks, I'll give him a call. I can't believe how sharp the P turns in compared to the LR. Gotta get used to that and fast or else more wheels are going to get rashed.

Yeah that looks good. I called him and he's booked solid for 2 weeks, but he is doing the coffee and cars on Sunday for 50 bucks for 1st come 1st serve service so I guess I'll be at that event hahaha

Well my MYP order EDD changed to 8/14 - 8/28. Originally it was out to 9/17 when it had a 4 week window.

Now I’ve had my GigaATX MY AWD (The 279mi. range one) for a month now. I’m going to try and see if if someone will give me $69ishK (cover the car and taxes) for it so I can get the MYP. Any recs for companies paying high for used Tesla’s?

You can try driveway.com. Got the highest deal between Carvana, car max and trade-in for my car.

My MYLR EDD fluctuated from Sept-Oct then Dec-Feb and everything in between.

But last week it dropped to August and then Friday I get my VIN. It’s Fremont build.

I ask my SA and they said it’s going into production this week.

Another thing to check for. I feel I shouldn't have to crawl under the car during inspection so this one irks me. Luckily I had some snap bolts leftover from installing mud flaps.

Got VIN today for MYP. EDD Now showing 8/25 - 8/29. Still need to get quotes for my MYATX AWD

Picked up today!

Ordered 4/10/22 MYLR. EDD was 10/22-1/23. Changed to MYP black/black, no extras on 4/23/22. New EDD changed to 7/21-8/30.

5/9/22- changed to 6/16-7/21

5/19/22- changed to 6/18-7/16

5/31/22- changed to 6/30-7/28

6/10/22- changed to 7/18-8/22

6/30/22- changed to 7/18-8/15

7/12/22- Trade-in Text

7/17/22- changed to 7/31-8/14

7/22/22- Received a call from Tesla asking about financing and trade-in. Rep said I should get a VIN in next couple of weeks.

7/28/22- VIN received, EDD 8/9-8/13

7/30/22- Text that vehicle departed factory

7/30/22- Email to sign Temporary Permit paperwork

8/1/22- Received call from SA to schedule appointment. Earliest appointment scheduled for 8/10.

8/3/22- Signed closing documents for outside closing. Paid down remaining payment.

8/9/22- Received text at 10:16 am about what to expect for delivery day tomorrow. 20 minutes later received text that they automatically rescheduled for 8/12

I also wonder if this is why my parent's Y's bottom cover fell off on the long trip and was scraping the ground ( although theirs was one of the first Y's built)

I didn't have this issue on my first one. It's definitely not one that you would think you would need to look for vi added it to the list for my service appointment. I did let them know I had extra snap bolts but I'm curious to see if they might try and blame me. You can tell there were no bolts there ever. It's clean with zero markings.
