Interesting take on wrapping the Cybertruck

We don't do wraps. When customers ask about color change wraps, we make sure they understand that the original paint may never be the same and it is something that has to be replaced more often than you think. STEK and others are offering colored ppf wraps. If I was going to do color change, its is the only way I would go AND I would ceramic coat it.

You're on a CT forum. There is no paint.

Something tells me if they would've just made this truck, they'd actually sell the 2 million preorders.

Awesome. I’d love that truck.

Oh thought PPF was vinyl?
No it is a Urethane film, much thicker film, that is designed to last up to 10 years and beyond, doesn't discolor and will protect from rock chips and scratches etc.. in most cases, plus has a semi self healing surface from minor scratching. Generally a bit more costly but well worth the extra price for longevity and looks of the film overall.

Vinyl comes in a wider array of colors, finishes, and textures, allowing you to customize your car's appearance to whatever you can imagine. They're thinner than PPF (usually around 3-4 mils) and are primarily used for aesthetic purposes. Vinyl does some level of protection, it's not as extensive as PPF. Think of vinyl wraps as the trendy outfit and PPF to protect the underlying paint metal from small debris and bug juice. A larger pebble will still do damage but not as intensive. Some PPF dealers offer lifetime repairs, at 6-8K cost with the right color scheme go for it.
