Just saw delivery estimate go from Nov to Jan!

This is strange. Mine still shows Late November-December. Our cars are only about 500 vin numbers apart, and they both entered production on 11/16.

My specs are 85D, silver, pano, 19s, black next-gen, black headliner, premium interior, piano black, SAS, and AP.

Someone with a delay should contact their DS. If it's for a hardware revision, I would ask for a delay rather than receive an "old" Model S.

Hardware revision would be excellent.

I've requested postponed delivery to earliest date in 2016, which I was told will be mid January. This morning I saw change from "January, 2016" to "February, 2016 - Early March, 2016". Which is 45 extra days!!!

I was very angry just 10 minutes ago, but now, considering Speculate: what will be included in the next major revamp of the Model S? and 2016 VIN, maybe it's not such a big deal.....

Update: DS said that delivery date was pushed indeed, but only for 2-3 extra weeks, and that MyTesla portal is being extremely safe with estimates.

Just read in another thread that they switched to using trains for delivery in certain locations and that can add four weeks to delivery time. I am speculating that they want to hit delivery targets for December and all of 2016 to satisfy shareholders and sandbag for higher numbers in 2017 with higher deliveries and margins with train vs. truck delivery.

Odd I just had another update today.
December 11, 2015 - December 25, 2015
This time frame is only an estimate and is subject to change based on current production schedules and option availability. Please expect that this timing will shift to provide the most accurate estimate possible. Your delivery appointment will be confirmed by your Delivery Experience Specialist once your vehicle is fully assembled and en route to the nearest Tesla location for final inspection and preparation.

Mine confirmed 3 days before you and has been in production since the 12th. Mine still shows late Nov-Early Dec. I'll call my DS tomorrow to confirm. Mine

Just noticed that my deliver timeframe has become "tighter" instead of it saying Late-Nov to Early-Dec it now says November 27th to December 11th.

I wonder what phase of production makes the timeframe get tighter? Does anyone know how far along this might mean I am?

My page has said late December - January 2016 for the last week or so. Sometime yesterday or day before, it switched to Dec 22 - Jan 5. Then today, my car showed as production complete and the delivery went to Nov 30 - Dec 5. I am east coast. Now I have to scramble to get my 14-50 finished, but I'm not complaining:)
