The divisions are to vote on the ammendments - there are 4, I expect all 4 to go to divisions, all 4 to be defeated then for it to be finally voted on.
LNP now want to have it read a second time - wasting time again, but it will get defeated
Nope. The two amendments from the second reading will be resolved in the negative. The other two are to require a review and to sunset PHEVs, which the government has already agreed to support.

It's currently first up on the order of business for tomorrow "In committee of the whole", which basically means they are discussing the amendments proposed and / or stating why they do not support the bill.
The Government has support to pass this bill with the Greens / Independents in the Senate.
My question to any other political buffs on here is; once the government accepts the two amendments proposed by the Greens / Pocock, does it then need to go back to the HoR for approval in it's final form?
