Electrek's article needs to be updated. It is NOT just ludicrous cars that are having this issue. My non-ludicrous P85D has all of the same issues. The most annoying one is the lack of power.
I haven't heard the P100D's having this issue at all. Your car should be unaffected unless it's an AP1 car (which I guess is technically possible). If you have cameras in the door pillars and side fenders, your car should be unaffected.
I don’t see why AP version would change the effects... Tesla sold p100d with ap1 for a short time before ap2 came out but the performance of the 2 are the same.
STILL faster than a E-tron I assume?
Powertools for meWhat app is recording your performance metrics?
Thanks,
Greg
You can easily beat them without launch mode or max batteryYeah, hurry up Tesla. Some of us have neighbors with Mustangs or Camaros in need of stomping.
Agreed. P85D here w/o Ludicrous and my "Max Power" and "Launch Mode" have completely vanished. Le sad.Electrek's article needs to be updated. It is NOT just ludicrous cars that are having this issue. My non-ludicrous P85D has all of the same issues. The most annoying one is the lack of power.
They don't Doc. It's the fact that the common denominator has been AP1, MCU1 and Performance cars are having this issue. The fact that you don't have those cameras tells me your car is an AP1 car.I do in fact have a rare AP1 P100DL. Why do AP cameras have anything to do with limiting power?
Update: when navigating to the supercharger this afternoon I heard my pumps turn on ( exact same sound the max battery function made ).... I wonder as a temporary fix, could one just navigate to supercharger Station if one wants to get the temperature of the battery up for best performace?
Ha ok next question then... what temp did the battery charge to when max battery was working? No, it doesn't get hot enough (only ~32C)
Which, if we want to make this outrage worse - was advertised at 50C but my car hasn't gone to 50C for as long as I've been able to read the CANbus. Seems like it never happened or it's just reserved for P100D only. Last time I checked was only getting to about 44C
Yah right, hopefully I’m wrong but it will probably be another month at the soonest more likely 4-6 months till this is fixed given past experience...2019.16 should fix this issue. Stay tuned.
Glide, what are you basing that on?2019.16 should fix this issue. Stay tuned.
I, too, would like to know the answer to this as I heard someone in another thread state that it didn't correct the bug for them.Glide, what are you basing that on?
