I’d assume it just went on a queue basis and I got my VIN the same day I got a text from the delivery department.
It must be the white interior slowing me down. Line waiter who ordered 10/20 and on the East Coast.
Same, in MD. No delivery date. "Drafting contract..." I'm 17 days since order. Rep on the phone said 5-21 days from order is typically when VINs are assigned, so i'm hoping for progress this week.
Who am I kidding. This company does what it wants.
Devon, PA in Philly area and nothing yet. Non reservation black/black though and ordered on 20th.

I have been watching this thread for long time but now I am getting excited to see that east coast getting the delivery date but I am disappointed that no news for me.

All I see since beginning "We are drafting up your contract and will contact you when you can make your final payment."

Devon order here - 10/20 order date. Black with Black and white. I'm guessing you'll get yours first but it's probably really based on logistics. Scheduled channels open and they throw cars at that route.
Let’s see. It’s mostly reservation holders that are being prioritized. But in next 2 weeks we will know a lot more. I have said many times before but for me later date in Dec is fine. Basically in a nutshell any time on or before Dec 31.

On Tesla account page on next steps. I entered all my details on DL, Trade-In , Insurance hoping that it will move it faster.

I simply took a picture of our insurance card (the one kept in our glovebox), and uploaded it.

Doesn't mean anything. If you ordered and submitted all required doc's, next step is being contacted by Delivery Advisor or assigned a VIN.
Not a res holder but placed order 10/18. No VIN yet. I am hoping before this weekend!
