Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
Got a text today to schedule delivery, five days after receiving VIN. Was given three days as options. Chose first available day, March 1 baby.
That makes me feel better about the fact that I still haven't heard anything from them even though I got my VIN early AM Friday 2/18. My EDD is still a couple weeks out though so I am guessing they are just waiting to get confirmation that the car is in route before scheduling anything.

Well, I too have filled my garage with a new M3LR and will have to graduate from this room.
For Toronto west (Oakville) order holders, I can tell you that I was treated very well and in spite of the on and off blizzard, was able to inspect and go over the car as much as i wanted. Got all my questions answered and left happy. It was a 40 car delivery day. That’s not even their busiest.
Good luck on your orders!
(Yes, it has the Ryzen. It is pretty much a given for VINs over 161xxx)
Woooooooo000000000oooooooot!

congrats…

…and so many questions

1. Did they just leave you be when you inspected, Or did they hover?

2. Did you have any of the SA you were assigned reach out - were they on premise, or just some random Tesla soul?

3. Did you have to sign anything before inspection, and were you allowed to enter the vehicle to inspect s/w Before signing?

4. Did they have the rear mudflaps in the trunk? Photo not very clear, but does it come with the front mudflaps?

5. How many kms was the car driven?

6. ….and most importantly - how satisfying was it to pull off the lot onto Wyecroft in your shiny new toy :)

Received the (next) much anticipated text a couple hours ago telling me it was time to schedule my delivery. I chose the earliest slot available... 11am on 3/2. It's great to now see an actual delivery date/time displayed in the app, in place of the EDD window! Will be picking it up at Tyco Road, in Tysons Corner. Supposedly a fifteen-minute-long, "Touchless Delivery." Can't wait!

Just finished paying my remaining balance. I changed my online banking credentials this morning in anticipation of that... in the event Plaid ended up with those credentials, I could just change them back. I'm happy to report, though - as described here in this thread a few weeks ago - I was able to exit the screen asking for those credentials and manually enter my routing number and account number.

It's a great feeling to go into the app and see all those green "Complete" check marks.

Schedule: Complete
Insurance: Complete
Final Payment: Complete

The only two things remaining are "Review Agreements" (the app says they will be available within 24 hours of my delivery appointment) and "Accept Delivery."

Truly feels like the home stretch...

EDD 4 updated and pushed back 2/23 - 3/22 Tesla isn’t giving love to Blue EXT with White INT 😢
Yes, My Blue/White order has been terribly elusive. Last week two blue models appeared in this thread on the east coast giving us hope, however, it was short-lived. Occasionally there have been reports of one or two blues on a truck, but they taunt us and disappear into the fog. So, at least they haven't run out of blue paint. The benefit of that extra charge for blue paint buys you exclusive space at the end of the line, solidified by the yet additional charge for white seats.

But I'm not complaining, that just brings bad luck...instead of no luck.

Hey! W000t is right!!
1: They gave me as much time as i wanted to inspect. When i had a question the delivery specialist (my term) was there for me.
2: Texting and emailing when i had questions, my first SA and a backup would answer me quickly on the same channel. On site I think i was working with the SA who was the backup to the primary one. He was great, I think more senior to the other SA.
3: I didn’t HAVE to, I was given the option. Sign all the finance paperwork before while we were inside and warm, then go and inspect. The rep helping me said he’d tear up the paperwork if i wasn’t willing to take the car today. Seemed ok to me after having had a quick look at the car before this discussion. It looked great and i didn’t foresee me rejecting it.
4: So if you look up the Model 3 Winter Protection package, it is NOT a set of front and back mudflaps. It’s only for the front. But it comes in two lengths. The default is short, but there’s also an extended (splash guard) version. Only the aftermarket sets offer all 4 wheel flaps. Also the second set was not in the car. We noted that and I will bring it up as a service issue.
5: 14km when i got in it.
6: After what seemed like 1/2 the day in the SC lot looking it over, it was very satisfying to pull out and take her home.

I’m supposed to pick my blue/white on the 5th.
