In my account where 5-9 week estimated delivery once was, now states estimated delivery September 28-September 30. So overnight it already changed/slipped a day.

Checked account this morning and delivery date changed again to : Estimated Delivery: September 18 - September 24

yup, never any texts related to Tyco SC... mine still says delivery appt on 9/29 but I wonder if an appointment “overrides” the estimation...

Got that exact text on Saturday (9-12-2020). Delivery delayed from Tuesday 9-15-2020 to 9-18-2020 due to a truck breaking down...

I just called my SA to see for an update on the car status since I'm supposed to get it 09/19/2020 and he said the car was already in. So I took an appointment for tomorrow (17th)!

GMD13 - What is interesting is when I do a search of inventory, there are 2 White SR+ with Aero in Orange County. 1 has Black Interior and the other 1 has white.

Yes. I called BP and asked them about the ones available in inventory. They said I would still have to wait if I purchase from inventory and said that I'm better off keeping my order. ??? Confused but ok.

Okay.. Thanks for the update.. I was possibly looking into buying the White Performance once that showed up in "Inventory" so.. I guess it is not worth it.

I found an "existing inventory" M3 that was exactly the same as mine so I asked my SA about it. He said that they're not necessarily already made and could just be in the process of being made. Not sure why that would be existing inventory but ok!

I asked the same to my SA toda as well because I saw some new cars pop up in the inventory and I wanted to swap my SR+ order for LR AWD. He mentioned the same thing but the weird thing is there is already a VIN number assigned to the car. He still said changing my order now won't guarantee delivery soon and I risk the possibility taking delivery the next quarter. I don't understand how a listed inventory car with a VIN would take that long.

It definitely is super odd and pretty much makes Tesla’s inventory useless.

Not sure why they even list unavailable cars unless they are used to drum up sales like a “lost leader”. I thought they would be required to list them as “in transit” or something.
