I think everyone in his right mind would agree that Sig-999 / Sig-1000 is followed by P-1 immediately in production. Things became a bit more complicated, as they usually do, with Roadster owners/referrals having Sig Special slots respectively R- numbers, then dropouts, upgrades, downgrades, parts availability, failed quality checks, you name it.
I speculate joefee is p***ed by the thought that now even some Sig-31 might be followed by P-1 immediately in production, and, thanks to delivery delays, might receive his/her car later than P-1 reservation holder. I can see how someone in that situation would feel p***ed, but the alternative would be to p*** even more people by artificially delaying their delivery further. I think it is agreeable that Tesla wants to avoid that.
Sorry I tried to use clear language, not clean.
My Tesla Delivery Experience Specialist, Lee Holycross, just called. Apparently my delivery truck has two drivers trading off wheel time and are making great time. And my Model S will be here around 5-6pm Tomorrow!! 2 days early and a day before my Delivery Window!! Should be able to drive her to work Monday Morning! OMG...this is getting REAL!!
1. They are only building 85kw cars with active air suspension right now.
2. He believes they are currently building somewhere around 200 cars a week, but couldn't put an exact number on it.
3. There isn't a supply issue with 21" wheels as far as he knows.
Holy Cow!! I just got a call from the truck driver that has my car and he says that he is going to try to make it to Corpus Christi on Monday morning to delivery my car!! WOW....I wasn't expecting that at all. I need to quit typing so I can get up and do a happy dance. Yee Haw!
I just spoke with a rep, who said my car (#5714 non-performance 85kw) should be ready for delivery by end of year or very early January.
Based on some of the things I've read in here, I asked him a few questions. His responses (some of which you already knew, no doubt):
1. They are only building 85kw cars with active air suspension right now.
2. He believes they are currently building somewhere around 200 cars a week, but couldn't put an exact number on it.
3. There isn't a supply issue with 21" wheels as far as he knows.
