Question: For those who are saying that their car is "In Production." What does it say under "What's Next" in your My Tesla account? Mine says "Your Tesla has entered the factory production queue." but I'm thinking this is not "In Production."

Mine still says Late May-June. Order confirmed April 19th (placed on the 12th).

Does anyone else start to twitch when you read others whose orders are getting into production? :confused:o_O

Yes, I twitch every time someone who ordered around the same time I did get notified their car is in production.

I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready . . .

if it makes you feel any better, I ordered on March 17! I asked for June delivery to make sure it wasn't scheduled before I heard about any potential refresh, but I lifted the delay on 4/4! So technically it's like it's been confirmed since that date. The good part is, even though I jumped the gun I still lucked out with the refresh.

It's a little bit easier this time, the first time I actually had to Medicate myself so I could sleep!

That's odd. My order was confirmed 7 days and 1 hour after I placed my order. The VIN was assigned a few hours later. I just got off the phone with the Portland delivery specialist and he expects delivery around mid-June.

If you're up for it, forum members will want to know all the details about your car when you get it. There is another thread on the forum started yesterday that someone leaked a schematic of the AP hardware for the refreshed car and it appears to have extra cameras.

The people who are speculating the new cars have new batteries will want to know if they do or not too. There is a label on the battery pack behind the right front wheel that tells which version of battery pack the car has. If you're car has the same version battery pack as other 2016 deliveries that will put the rumors to rest for a while.

On a more serious note I'm pulling for you to be able to enjoy your car as long as possible!
Can you post the link to this post? I am thinking about buying a my model s - and would love to know more about the new camera system...

Thanks! I've had cancer for two years and have had 53 rounds of chemo (normal is about 12 rounds, but since I'm younger my doctors are pushing me harder). Thankfully it has been slow progression.

I'll definitely try and get you guys as much info as I can from the car. I do have to say that everyone at Tesla has been amazing. My delivery specialist is on vacation this week, but he still takes the time to give me status updates on the car. I think the wide date range for the delivery is because they aren't sure whether it will be on a truck (which he said should take less than a week to get to Chicago) or a train (which takes 2.5 weeks he said).

I've attached a screenshot from the website showing my order status, in case anyone wanted to see it.

Also, based on my understanding my sales guy and delivery specialist had my story escalated pretty high within Tesla in order to get me pushed to the front of the line. So I don't think they are the ones that really have control over it.

Once the male Tesla and the female Tesla have properly connected to each other's mating ports, you get a very definitive email that says this:View attachment 175237

I look forward to seeing this message. I confirmed on 4/11 so I might get it soon. I see myself staring at the email and constantly clicking the refresh button, but just in-case I check the MyTesla page to see if it's happening.

After I confirmed my order (a week after paying the $2500 deposit) and received email to that effect, I never got a further email from Tesla HQ. I watched for the emails about "entering production" etc., and never saw any such emails. I picked up my new Model S in Marietta today. Hooray! Will post a delivery story separately. But no blow-by-blow news about the production. (Actually, I think that's the way it should be, but hey that's just me.)

Did you get the refreshed front end and headlights?
