Model S Order & Delivery Tracker - Q1 2014

I know, but you've got a priority delivery because of your P+. Strange thing is, when I called Tesla, they said production would be complete 1st of April, but the website tells otherwise.

That is strange, when I called them they told me the car went into production and the status was updated that same day around 18:00. The website is a little behind, but not by that much. Maybe give them a call/email again? I'm still stalking them at least once a week!

Finalized today. S85, black, tech, sensors, winter. Everything else as standard. Parcel shelf was originally added but is now standard on european vehicles.
July chosen as delivery month. I'll take anything before September as a bonus...

Today I got my VIN from the dealer, 34491. I don't have access to the Tesla Dashboard, so I need to ask my dealer for all status info. They seem to be pretty busy so I don't want to harass them, but based only on the VIN number my car should be in the current batch of cars being produced for EU.

I bought from a traditional car dealership/importer in Finland, not online from Tesla. So my order is not made online by me, and thus I see nothing on my Tesla Dashboard. I agree with you, this may not actually be a bad thing in that sense.

I have seen this mentioned by a couple others in the past. Is there a reason you had to go through an "importer"? Why can't you order it online like everyone else does? What kind of price markup does the dealer add? Did you have to do negotiation?

Well, I didn't *have* to order via an importer. It's just that since Finland has no official Tesla presence (yet), I would need to order from the "other Europe" location, which means I would need to pick my car up from Tilburg. That's pretty far away, and I have some medical issues that make long distance travelling difficult for me. Since this importer has started selling Tesla Model S in Finland and will actually deliver the car to my door, I decided to go that route.

Looks like the price markup is somewhere around 18.000 EUR. The importer is a traditional car dealership, so negotiation is involved.

Status changed again to "in transit from factory." Contacted by delivery specialist to let me know that I could take delivery early, so will be getting my Model S next Friday, April 11th (a week before the originally scheduled date).

Status has again changed to "Production Complete: Your Model S is being prepared for pickup or delivery." So, wonder whether it'll take 18 days to get it, or if they will ship it out earlier. Looking at the spreadsheet, I don't see anyone on the East Coast that had to wait 2.5 weeks from end of production to delivery.

Well it's very nice you were able to find someone to provide service and make the delivery more straightforward for you. Good luck and keep the thread updated. My 34k VIN is driving very nicely and I'm sure yours will too!
