Model S Order & Delivery Tracker - Q1 2014

I just called customer service..and they had no clue about the issue. They transferred me to tech support..who also had no idea. Not only did my date drop off, but so did any info about a particular service center.
tech support is researching and will call me back....we'll see what happens.

No call back from tech....but my info is once again displayed.
All good.

Yippee, my delivery is scheduled for 2 hours from now!

Very cool, I ordered on 2014-01-16, confirmed on 2014-01-17, and the delivery happens on 2014-05-16. Pretty easy to count the delivery time in months in my case! Also pretty fast considering my MS is not a Performance model.

Two hours to go, what to do, what to do.. I know, I'll watch the Tesla Model S walkthrough video for the 28th time! :)

P85 ordered - Now I wait ...

Ok, so I've just received a "tentative" delivery date date of June 27th in Toronto for my P85, VIN 43582. Ordered and confirmed on May 4th. I guess Performance models aren't a "priority" anymore? Seems like all deliveries are similarly placed.

Details:

P85 | Black on Black Leather | Piano Black | 21" Grey Turbine + Red Calipers | Pano | Tech | Parking Sensors | SubZero | Sound | DualChargers + HPWC | VIN 43582 |
Order and Confirmed May 4th, 2014 | VIN Assigned May 6th| Delivery June 27th, 2014 ?

In trading emails today with the delivery specialist, I asked if there's any chance of movement up on my June 11th date (can't hurt, right?) and he said "I will let you know if we can move up your delivery, but it will probably only be a few days notice."

Great, now something else I need to obsess over! I did tell him we're ready - financing and insurance is lined up, and charging is not an issue - so maybe the Tesla Gods will smile? Or am I dreaming? lol

My car is here!

@Alain13, when you have the time please update my Q2 info. A strange thing happened, my car's VIN is NOT 34419 as I was told earlier, instead it is 36646!

I had originally planned to black out my license plate from these pictures (just in case), but decided not to because my (random) plate is so fun! The word "ilo" means "joy" in Finnish, which I think suits my car fine, and the number part has the same numbers as my previous car, just the order is different. :)

Anyways, I have only driven 26 km with it, and was already blown away by the performance! My previous car was a Hyundai Genesis Coupe which had 0-100 km/h acceleration around 6.4 seconds or so, but my non-performance MS is like from a different planet! Very glad I did not spend extra for the Performance version, this acceleration is more than enough for me! Especially considering you don't feel the speed at all, you need to watch the speedometer and/or use cruise control extensively to not get a ticket!

I am still obviously in the honeymoon phase, but will write a more thorough first impression post after I have driven a bit more. Many trips already planned for this weekend! :)

Congratulations! I'm very happy for you, and also a bit jealous . I still have not received an exact delivery date. Another week went by without any news from Tilburg. (I was first contacted by them on April 3 with the "first half of May" estimate.)

Thanks xhawk101 and hun!

@hun, I hope you get your car soon as well. The car is definitely worth the wait! My getting the car sooner than you may have something to do with my doing business with the local car dealer instead of Tesla directly, they may have some special arrangements (perhaps they order a bunch of cars and then spec them later when customers actually order them, or some such)..

That sounds like solid evidence for both dealer and direct sales models being able to peacefully co-exist. Some states here should learn from Finland and other countries with similar car sales laws (or lack thereof).

congrats, it finally happened. I remember when I received mine how far away your dates seemed. I hope you have as much fun as I've been having. I keep inventing reasons to drive places so I'm probably. Not helping with the environment as much as I thought. I don't get on here so much now that I can channel my obsession into actually driving the carbut it's good to see the excitement continue and to see more great pics.

Thanks gpetti, I remember following your delivery experience closely, and you are correct, my delivery date seemed to be ages away at that time. :)

The car is indeed a lot of fun! I currently have about 650 km on it, and same as you, I keep inventing new errands to run and places to visit. Have given test drives to several work colleagues, etc.

I can understand the less frequent visits here, the same thing has happened to me. I used to visit the forum many times a day, this has already dropped to at most twice a day. :)

To all of you still waiting your cars, patience, the day WILL come and you will be very happy when it does!
