Understood. It is right there under Personal Details, above Contact Details (sandwhiched between them) for me.

I assume it is a feature that gets enabled once your post count reaches a predetermined level.
Thanks again Ranger and you must have been right as - AS IF BY MAGIC...., all of a sudden the "signature" option is there... so when are you expecting your X? and what country are you? Thanks again for help..

No, you're not going crazy. Signature configuration isn't available until you've posted a minimum number of posts (perhaps 6?).

Interim report for 5 seat hopefuls: My Tesla "Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement Final Price Sheet" stated "vehicle to be delivered on or about 11/17/2016". Today is Nov. 25, 2016. Am I impatient? What sort of pitiful car groupie has Tesla turned me into? What stage of life is it called when you wait around to buy an expensive electric toy? Why won't my insurance company accept the VIN that appears on the Purchase Agreement and the My Tesla page?
These are the questions I am trying to answer as I wait for the big day.

Lol. I'm glad it's not just me... Think if they had told me it was going to be delivered last week I would have gone mad with excitement. Only got 3 months to wait (and that's assuming it's on time). Hope it arrives soon

I called our auto insurance provider, 21st Century Insurance, and their in house system recognized the VIN as valid, whereas their online policy management service did not. So my insurance is all set. Now all I need is the actual vehicle.
Great news and exciting stuff, mind my asking what premium is? Seen some quotes of £400/£500 which seems reasonable but also seen horror stories... when is delivery due?

We have had 21st Century Insurance for about 15 years, and have never made a claim. So they like us. When the Model X arrives, we will have three cars, so there is a discount. The added price for covering the Model X is $510.00 per year, with a $1,000.00 deductible. That's about the same rate as we are charged for our Model S.
On the theory that if the stated delivery date was 11/17, anything more than 2 weeks after that date would be unlikely, my expectation is that I pick up the Model X this week.

Reality check: alas, It may be true that "waiting" is the most accurate term to describe my position.

1. The signed motor vehicle agreement sent to me on October 24, 2016 stated “Vehicle to be delivered on or about November 17, 2016."
2. The My Tesla page reported “Your Tesla is in production.” as of November 14.
3. Now, on November 29, my Delivery Specialist reports to me by email that my “Model X is now in an early stage of production.”
and that I can be "anticipating delivery in the next two weeks.”

I remain patient, however, I did ask "have any 5 seat Model X vehicles been delivered yet?"

No reply from the Delivery Specialist.

What a bummer :(
Have to say initially though my whole Tesla experience was great including My Tesla and communications great up till the lrder. Then you realise it doesn't work and they seem to be a law unto themselves re anything to do with communications and times. I threatened to cancel and they jumped a bit although pretty sure it's not the local guys where the problem lies...
How can they say 2 weeks on 24 Oct, yet a month later they say just entered production and still 2 weeks.... If it's 2 weeks from entering production then surely they are smart/organised enough to realise that on 24th Oct it was 4 weeks!!!

Anyway, by sounds of it your way more patient than me although In dealing with Tesla im learning...

Re the 5 seats, when it was announced about the change I asked the question to my dealer by email (2 weeks ago) and havent heard from them.... Guess it will be what it will be eh (can't imagine BMW every getting away with that/this level of poor communication)

Finally, as it's now gonna be mid December, maybe it's gonna come all wrapped in a big bow ready for Christmas :):)

I did receive a telephone call reply from my Delivery Specialist around 7 PM last evening. The tone and content of the conversation was basically in the nature of a sympathetic hand holding. The explanation was that Tesla built cars in the order in which they received the required parts for them, thus production on my vehicle may start but then be delayed as they wait for required parts. I took that to mean either the second row seats, hardware for the now standard auto pilot, or a combination of items. I don't think any 5 seat models have yet been delivered, but I was left with the impression that "within the next two weeks" was now a prediction on which I could rely. The Delivery Specialist did endure with good humor my teasing remark about how "DS" stood for "Delay Specialist", confirming my basic understanding that a good sense of humor is required for most of life's endeavors.

Fingers crossed. Gonna pinch your DS line though and keep it up my sleeve to use at an appropriate time:)
