Model X December Deliveries

Butting in here for the first time - because I am absolutely certain our Model X will NOT be a December delivery, as per this thread's putative title -

but, as I related elsewhere, we've ordered a P100D (P100D Order Thread). Once the folding-5 became a reality, we got off our long, long-warmed bench and hit the Go Button.

We're not expecting delivery until late in the winter, but I'll judiciously keep prodding TM to let them know if Really Would Be Nice to have them produce it earlier. Interestingly, one of the apparent bottlenecks seems to be that pesky hitch. It seems that not many customers are ordering those - to me, that's suggestive that, indeed, most Model X owners expect to be using their vehicles more as people carriers than as haulers.

For all I've been able to scan the entire TMC forum, it also appears we are the only active members to have demonstrated a "100" order so far. Can this be true?

You and I both now! I have not gotten any email nor has my specialist gotten back. I'm pretty annoyed at how inconsistent everything is going.... other than that the only new thing is MyTesla now shows it's still in production. @HookBill and @polymathic how long were you guys in production? Mines officially been 9 days now.

5 days for me per the email. MyTesla still shows in production tho'.

He's not very active, but MaxK and his wife bought a P100D. MrsK sent a text on Saturday saying that it had left Fremont.

My "Tea Clipper" comes today -- we'll be doing the factory tour in 3 1/2 hours. MyTesla page has been interesting:

- After the page redesign happened at the same time as our delivery appointment was scheduled, it showed (6/6 Complete) and that final paperwork was being processed.
- As of this morning it changed to (4/4 Complete) with our final sales sheet attached and a link to pay via ACH. Once we paid it updated immediately.

I'll post pictures this evening if anything interesting comes up!

I email my DS thinking up questions hoping I would get a response that we can move up our delivery date. As of now 12/23 @1PM is the scheduled delivery date. Even though I know that I keep checking my Tesla Page and my email hoping for some sort of news!

I feel like I'm in love all over again!

I've been in production since November 9. DS said that it should be done by the end of the week. We'll see.

I just called my DS and she said that looks like we are at the end of productionnand that we should be done in the next day or two and either hoping to pick up end of this week or early next week... but I hope everything goes well for you considering you've been in production so long...

Interesting so I'm assuming the email is more accurate. myTesla status changed to production last Friday but I didn't get the email till Tuesday so I hope the email is more accurate and get a final status tomorrow.

I'm a big believer in choosing the data to fit my theory of choice! Chocolate cures cancer, skiing is good for my knees, and the accurate communication channel from Tesla is the one with the best news!

Hello Again,

I just got an e-mail this morning. My Model X has finished. Below is the time line for mine so far:

Configured: 11/13/16
Confirmed: 11/16/16
Received Vin: 11/19/16
Production Start: 12/05/16
Production Complete: 12/09/16
VIN: 301XX


Even though I am in Louisiana, I will pick it up at the Houston Tesla Dealership. Also, My DS Dayan has been great! He has had quick responses every time. My DS is on vacation but I hope to setup a delivery date next week!

I'm picking up delivery Friday at 11:30!

Any word if yours completed? Or is it in production still?

My car is at the service center. I got an email and a phone call to confirm. It was obviously a truck delivery. As of right now, I'm scheduled to pick it up as soon as they open on 12/27. However, my DS says at this point, they're trying really hard to under promise and over deliver, so I could get it even earlier. I have no qualms with waiting until the 27th since it's already been moved up 2 days.

5 days in production for me. Went into production on Monday and received the email that production was complete on Saturday morning. My Tesla page also shows complete and in transit.

So went to the Tesla store in the mall to play with the Model X. Spoke with one of the sales rep and he said that cars for our Service Center come in trucks.
Also interesting thing the person mentioned was that the cars go through a lot inspecting and testing after they arrive at the SC. So the car could be at the service center but has to go through Tesla testing since it got put on a truck/train right after production. Not sure how accurate but thought I pass the info along.

I was told the same thing but they said it could also come by train which takes 23 days.
