I ordered on the same day as you but then cancelled and re-ordered yesterday and did all the steps on the same day (except proof of insurance - Do I need to do that to proceed? Haven't owned a car in a while hence I'll be purchasing new insurance and already have a quote).

White with induction wheels and no FSD too. Hoping my delivery can be soon like yours.

2. How do I know if it is a rejected vehicle or a returned one?

You'll need the proof of insurance when you go for delivery. Others have uploaded a snapshot of their current insurance policy (me included) but all that counts is having the temporary insurance with your new VIN ready to go and effective as of the delivery date. I do not believe the absence of proof of insurance would hold up your delivery.

Deposit was wired today.. and I’ve been dealing with a guy named Gad in Montreal - who’s been very helpful. My delivery specialist is Ian - who seems to be in Toronto.. but I’m picking up the car in Ottawa at the service center..

He sent this today...


What deliver will look like:
When you arrive, please give me a call / text on my cell phone -
I will unlock the vehicle
Then I will ask you to take a look around and report any concerns you may want logged at time of delivery.
I would request you send the concerns in the following format:
1) separate email for each concern
2) please put last 6 numbers of the VIN in subject line - 025XXX - along with a brief description of the concern.
3) attach two photos of the concern - first is of the concern, the second photo approx 1 meter back to help determine location
4) I will log concerns, then after mark the vehicle delivered.
5) you book an appointment in the phone app with service and they will go over any of the concerns that were logged (if any)

I anticipate a vehicle in excellent condition, and I wanted to give you the process to note anything and provide that piece of mind if needed.

Got my new ride back home, and did some PPF on Hood, Front Bumper, and Mirrors myself. Bought film for head lamps, but it looks too dark.

Tomorrow will keep doing the fenders.

BTW, personal approved the front bumper has no peeling paint issue now (VIN#29xxx).

I pulled front license plate off, and pulled large portion of PPF to move around several times. No issue at all.

Right now, finished hood, bumper, fenders, and mirrors. The most difficult one is the mirror. These are all precut film.

Start tinting the windows today. I ordered a rolls (60"x20') of PPF, and will do the doors and rear trunk & bumper later.

It is good to learn something new, but already feel the challenge after tinting the Passenger Door. The upper door panel is too tight, really hard to place the film inside.

Just as a further update, I ordered morning of Monday July 27th and just got a text to schedule pick up today July 30th. Earliest pick-up is August 4th. Ordered White AWD Long Range with induction wheels. Crazy fast.

This is my first car in years and I don't even have a license plate or street permit to park yet. From a car perspective, I'm a noob which is why I wanted a Tesla as I view them more as tech lol.

White exterior, black interior and 20" rims. No tow hitch, I figured I can add that later on (I don't have an immediate need for it anyway)

Went through the entire checklist and the worst thing was probably a scratch on the windshield (nothing to reject a car over). A couple marks on the interior plastic, one dirty fingerprint on the headliner, some small scuffs on the leather, and one coat hook that didn't come down right away, but honestly, none of the horror stories we were hearing at the beginning. Really pleased with the build, and loved it for the short time I had it, because I drove it straight to the PPF place!

Will celebrate more and take full pics when I get it back for good!
