Does it for the 3-series vs X3/X4? A4 vs Q5?
I don't know; I don't claim to be a "car guy". And as a Tesla fan, I'll be quite happy if I'm wrong on this point.

You need lower priced options if you want to claim you have a mass market vehicle. Plenty of 2wd SUV’s out there.
I hope so!OK, so playing with the configurator images in GIMP...
Wheelbase: 628.3 px for the Model Y, 614.8 px for the Model 3
Wheel diameter (front wheel, known to be 18"): 120.0 px for the Model Y, 124.8 px for the Model 3
So, some of the third row space? It's coming from longer wheelbase. I'd estimate 3060 mm or so, which actually makes it longer wheelbase than the Model X. (There is some room for significant error here, though, and small parallax shifts can create big errors.)
After looking through the photos/video on the website, I will say this.
The Y looks far better than the X. Very nice proportions. And this is from someone who has never liked crossovers or SUVs.
If a 2011 Nissan Leaf and a Tesla Model 3 had a love child you would get a Model Y.
Elon said the FSD software would be 'feature complete by the end of the year'. That means they'll have an alpha version build by then.
For some reasons, I don't feel the Driven Vibe of Model 3.
I don't know... Whole presentation today just felt a bit "underwhelming" YMMV

How many of you are saving on gas?
At the end of Zac and Jesse's test ride, someone tried to open the rear hatch from the outside and he was hastily stopped by a Tesla employee. Something tells me maybe that hatch either isn't functional or hasn't been finalized yet?Still no word on the liftgate/hatch. Have to assume it's powered.

I accept your differences. I think he rehearsed it just enough to address each point without trying to sound overly polished. Overly polished sounds like crap and a liar. Tesla can ill afford to put forth the sense that it's being run by a liar.Ok granted, but he could at least rehearse the presentation a few times instead of seemingly winging the whole thing. It could have been more structured and they definitely should have spent more time talking about and showing the Y.
assuming someone is driving a gas powered car, a certain number of miles, and gas prices necver change ********************************
If you want to actually seat 7 people and put a stroller in the car, then you aren't looking at the right class of vehicle.
Awesome! Thank you. More stuff from there:It is clearly pictured on the website.
