The refresh LR and Plaid are the exact same size (length, width, height etc.) The Plaid is slightly heavier due to the third motor, cf spoiler, and plaid badge ha.Ha its only 137k

Ahhh I see as a few people told me the Plaid has a wider body than the S but that was the old S....The refresh LR and Plaid are the exact same size (length, width, height etc.) The Plaid is slightly heavier due to the third motor, cf spoiler, and plaid badge ha.
The refresh LR and Plaid are slightly wider than the prior Model S.
Yes only the 2021.5 refresh LR and plaid have the (79) same body. All the prior Model S are the 77 inches (including the early 2021s.) The 2021.5 started June 2021. There were some prior Model S sold early in 2021 that were still model year 2021.Ahhh I see as a few people told me the Plaid has a wider body than the S but that was the old S....
Is it that only the 21 LR Model S and the Plaid have the same body? Or all Model S 2021's?
I got confused as google showed the LR as 77 inches and the Plaid as 79?
@Drew-MS
So the spacers are at my buddys shop but I wont be able to go until tomorrow or Wednesday. Here are some pics and they look great and should work on the Plaid:
Motorsport Tech Versions
Notice how there is no taper? Just 1/100th cut so the snout will insert easily
for perspective the previous test set I attempted to install (look at the taper)
They look awesome, thanks for sharing this information.
Are the spacers at the shop so your buddy could cut the studs? I assume they didn't come that way but idk. Cheers
This is probably going to sound ridiculous, but I don't know the physics of it.
Is there any concern with the torque of the Plaid that it might break the spacers?
Its relatively the same based on same road comparisons. I do have good well paved roads in general so the minor drop didnt create any comfort issues. And I still can raise it up (although the highest setting is not OEM highest anymore) but I have not found the need in any circumstances thus far.Looks stellar, I wanted this color though wife wanted white lol How do you like it lowered, does it drive much different/stiffer?
So I still feel like the car is missing something... the rear is so normal so i thought about adding this on? I can remove at will and its a cheap Amazon part:They look awesome, thanks for sharing this information.

Appreciate this, I've owned and lowered multiple air ride cars and enjoyed the looks big time. Its relatively the same based on same road comparisons. I am fairly impressed with the Tesla air ride!!

Its on LOLVery nice, I like it. I purchased that emblem as well but I didn't put it on yet. I'll probably remove the 'plaid' letters when I install.
Looks fantastic!!!Teaser- spacers on and they fit perfectly--- more pics to come after I get off my a$$
Actually studs see no shear load at all. The clamping force of the studs forces the faces in contact together with so much friction, that carries the load. Still want hub centric though as you don’t want an eccentric wheel.I just had them sent there since he will do the install--- 6 or 1/2 dozen. As for cutting, we shall see once the car is on the rack.
Not a ridiculous question at all. If the spacers are hubcentric then the torque will be applied to axle like it would be if the car was without the spacers. A non hubcentric spacer will create load on the studs and then the torque will be an issue.
I hope someone comes up with the front lip@Drew-MS
One thing I really wish were some differentiators with the Plaid from a styling aspect. I took a flyer because they said it would fit (Maxton Design USA) and got the front lip spoiler and rear diffuser but of course they did not fit as the Model S refresh is not the same as the Plaid. And I asked this over and over:
