new comfort suspension switch over dates

I could be wrong, but based on this other post, what you ordered might not be the most updated parts that Tesla considers “comfort suspension”. Just wanted to give you a heads up in case. Again, I’m no expert so take it with a grain of salt.

MBA83: you ordered the parts I had in my January 2022 MY (see my pictures). I thought the ride was too rough with those assemblies and had replaced them with Redwood Motorsports units for a softer ride (which they are...) (If you want, I will sell them to you - they are essentially brand new.)

Regarding the Rear Springs: I did not change them. I was looking for a softer ride without any change in ride height. If you want to maintain ride height AND maintain weight carrying capacity, then the original Tesla springs is the way to go. The Fronts had to be changed as it is a single unit that does not allow change of the shock only + there is not as much load variability in the front as in the back.

Tesla has now adjusted my order. For some reason the rear dampers were not updated, only fronts.

That's pretty affordable, how did you verify that those part numbers are the new suspension?

How did you order the parts? Requested it through the app?

Also how long did they say for it to arrive?

Do you know if the fronts come with the top hats and spring already?
I am still trying to confirm whether these part numbers are for the new suspension, but from my communication with Tesla through the app it appears to be the case (they updated my part numbers - front shocks only - after I told them I want the new comfort suspension components). I don't know how long it will take to arrive. The front dampers should be complete assemblies, with the spring (strut).

not changing the rear springs can work when you have adjustable dampers like the MPP (KW) or Redwood (Ohlins) offerings.
Tesla shocks are not adjustable, they're a fixed rate (be it progressive or linear).

Update: It appears Tesla doesn't yet sell the new suspension - even though they adjusted my order previously, the items on it were still not the newest versions. According to Model Y comfort suspension? the newest part numbers are:

1188363-00-H front left damper
1188368-00-H front right damper
1188463-00-E rear dampers
thanks for the information and for braving the wilds of early adopter territory

Confirmed these part numbers on my 2023 Model Y LR delivered 11/17/22. Defnitely feels so much better/nicer ride than all other test drives.

That seems to match.
My April 2022 Fremont Model Y Long Range 7 seater has these, just checked under the car :

1188363-00-F front left assembly
1188368-00-F front right assembly
1188463-00-D rear dampers
also
I have 1188477-00-A rear springs - did these change?
Can you confirm the rear springs are the same?

Hi. is there any way to know for sure if my Model Y has comfort suspension? I have a 2023 MY manufactured in Austin in Nov 2023. However some reports say only Fremont builds have comfort suspension, while others say if it was built in Austin after Aug 29 then it has it. I wish there was a definitive way of knowing.
