The fact that we're seeing east coast vins with delivery estimates around March 30 should be an indication that they will start favoring west soon. This Q1 number will be closely scrutinized, and I don't think they'll be content to leave thousands of vehicles "in transit" at the close of the quarter.

Yep, I imagine Elon would drive semis of Model 3s up and down the west coast if needed to get as many cars as possible delivered.

Depends. Where do you live? It seems Tesla is prioritizing East Coast right now, not West Coast.

Update: Received a call from Las Vegas around 5 pm PT today stating that my VIN just came through. Delivery date not set yet, but hopefully by next week since I am local. Midnight Silver with aero wheels and EAP

So between the time you configured, and the time you got your VIN, what happened? Did you talk to the delivery specialist in that time?

I talked to the Tesla sales advisor again just now. Said my car is in Birmingham, Alabama. Said that leg is the longest to the East Coast. Takes 12 days. Now should take about another week to get to NJ.

Delivery date is around March 30

Average time from VIN to delivery for Virginia orders on the spreadsheet is 12 days, with 15 days being the longest. That COULD mean you have your car around March 19

Just checked and I have a VIN! Configured 2/15, Model S owner, reservation 8/15/2017 No delivery date yet. Blue/Aero/EAP/ 72xx

Update to this post. Today, March 7th, I received a call that my car is through production and being prep'ed for loading onto a train. I also received an email with the final documents which I signed electronically. I was told that after signing and payment it would most likely be another two weeks before actual delivery. Enxouraged!
