I would totally take that. I barely supercharge since charge at home. $5K would be clearly a better option. Now how do we sign up for that refund?

Seriously feel burned here. I’ve had the P3D+ for a month, it’s been in the shop 4 times, and now this? Here I bought as much as I could to try and help them become profitable and this is how they reward us? I’m sorry Elon, free supercharging is not worth 5k to me....can I swap that for 5k back? I suspect the answer is no.

Regardless, my opinion of Tesla has dropped because of this. I invested my retirement in Tesla, planned to buy the solar roof, and wanted the Y. I’m not going to sell my stock but I’m sure as hell not going to buy the Y or solar roof now!

Tesla you keep selling the cars with market price subject to change on a daily basis, you will eventually get the backlash from your most loyal customers. When @MXWing is mad you know it’s at that point now.

Works for me. Might just use the $5K to buy some TSLA. Then in a year, buy some lighter wheels (Tesla, make some 19" Arachnids) or maybe FSD if it seems like it's worth it.

Well, this all turned around quickly. Optional $5k in exchange for Free Supercharging and Track Mode confirmed for all Performance Model 3s, including those without the PUP. Good stuff.

It looks like I might have to sell back my unlimited supercharging for $5000. There's no way I'd ever used $5000 worth of supercharging anyway I guess. It was very comforting to know it was free though.

The price reduction was a good move for future customers, but there was no thought to current customers and how this might negatively impact them financially not just emotionally.

So now the P- buyers will get 5K back, which will make that price delta between AWD and P- like what, 5K? Now AWD buyers will be butthurt and he'll have to refund them. Then he will have spent all his profits from Q3.

Personally I love the upgrades in the $5000 package. I’d get them to list the parts on the due bill.
