lol they can announce a shoebox for all I care. But going to an event with tesla owners and being able to see and hear Elon Musk speak in person again is something I wouldn't pass on.

That's why I go to shareholders meetings. Fortunately I can drive to them in 30 minutes.

It must be a much smaller event (in terms of number of attendees) than the D event. I guess that's how they're going to prevent a traffic jam!

Not sure why so many people think it is going to be cool to go to an event that shows off a "new" large battery for home use. Most of you people are already driving around on top of said technology. I do not think Tesla will be able to have enough lasers and loud techno music to make this boring launch interesting.

I might agree with you if it was only a "new" large battery for home use but what is more interesting in my opinion is the large scale utility battery that is supposed to be included in the event.

Yes he'll be there. I would be very surprised if he isn't. It's a product announcement.

The quality of the wind at house-height is typically poor; interaction with trees, etc. breaks up the laminar flow that wind turbines like. Productive turbines are typically placed atop tall masts, which isn't good company to residential properties. And there are complaints about noise, visuals, etc. Rooftop solar is much more benign.

I recommend you put up an anemometer before you put up a wind generator; I built on a hill which seemed windy but a year's worth of site data collected during the planning stages convinced me otherwise.

I've got notice that the event is cancelled due to that Augustus Welby Pugins relatives won't allow for the design to be copied. Redesigning will take at least 3 years. Bummer.
