Woo-hoo! Got my delivery scheduling email tonight announcing my car is nearly ready for delivery, with an estimated pickup window of Dec 3-17. I promptly completed the online delivery questionnaire and responded to the delivery experience specialist's email... and as I was typing this post I received confirmation for factory pick-up this Sunday! :biggrin:

My prior post was on page 27:

I asked for an update on the estimated delivery from my product specialist today... here is his response: "It looks like your delivery is still estimated at November or December. I would obviously guess that would more than likely be end of December, since you have a higher sequence number. You did get your order in early, which helps though. I do not have a delivery range on your account yet; but, if you want to keep in contact, I will update you on the progress.".

I'm hopeful he is right... perhaps my configuration and my location help. I modified my sig to indicate delivery on Xmas eve. :smile:

No, and my guess is that we won't get that info until the Q4 earnings call.

timdorr has a spreadsheet that covers it – why not just look at the latest delivery by Vin number and gauge production on that?

timdorr's spreadsheet doesn't seem to track whether or not a car has been delivered. It only tracks the delivery window given on the MVPA.

It's also only a "sample". It's unknown what % of purchasers report such info here or on TM's forum, so the latest res or VIN # or delivery date may or may not be the latest.

Also, timdorr's spreadsheet is voluntary - that is, it only reports those deliveries (windows) for Tesla owners that voluntarily enter the information in the spreadsheet (or have posted the information in one of the two blog websites). Unless I'm missing something?

I would like to see an update of production (which would be an estimate) through YE 2012 compared to earlier projections. Being an actuary, I'm hooked on how past projections compare to reality.

The good news is that they are reaching this number only running 6 days a week with 2 shifts now, so they are slowly getting better as optimization improves from Q4.

I heard that the second shift alone is now making ~50/day. Sounds like they are looking to crush the 20k "goal"
