How long does it take Tesla to get back to you guys with a trade-in value after submitting VIN & pictures? Getting nervous because I'm nearing Delivery Day and haven't heard back.

My offer took 48-72 hours.

What's the difference in holding vs rejecting? Lose your place, deposit, etc.

You'd have to jump around this site a bit to find that out for sure. I'm no expert in Tesla, just was sharing my experience to this point. I have seen a lot of posts here talking about placing holds and rejecting delivery based on specs or damage to the car. Some ppl just can't make it to their delivery because they are out of town and end up having to reject and get a new delivery date. I think you only lose your deposit if you fully cancel your order, but can push the date a few times before getting to that point.

I under stand if you reject they match you with the next available build to your spec, if you hold to are off the list until you release. But some people have been bumped to back of the line in seems or feels like.

I rejected 4 days ago. Get a new VIN today. Delivery window got pushed out only 5 days, so no biggie.

Pure luck. See my sig. I took a gamble. It worked out.
I was planning to take this second VIN no matter what -- I coudn't do worse than the F378, but I could have been pushed back a month and still ended up with Intel. Lady luck hit me today. I was due.

Just got updated delivery date to 2/24 ...confirmed a few items from the Vin NF374xxx several calls to the SA central call center and have checked the VIN and it shows .. Dual Pane front door glass, AMD Chip, 12 volt li-ion battery, no Heated Wipers (bummer but live in Florida), and Michelin A/S tires. Due to arrive at the West Palm Beach dealer on 2/22 and have it ready by 2/24.. Can't wait.. If there are any updates after I pick it up I will post the news..

I hope so. They placed my order on hold until Friday so I don’t get assigned the same VIN.

Mine was quick, within an hour both times (original trade-in value and then again 30 days later when it expired)

N78xxx was assigned twice and both intel. Cannot reject again due to auto cancel. Will have to proceed with the order.

Just cancel and reorder… so you wait a couple months…at least you will get what you want.

Bay Area here: OD 11/2, got VIN F380xxx this morning. Tesla chat confirmed Ryzen processor and Pirelli summer tires. Curious if the summer tires are a "bay area" only thing? All posts I read here indicate A/S tires

Hmmm, I had a 380 and was told intel so I released it.

I live about 6.5 hours away from my closest pickup center. I am paying $750 to have it delivered via 3rd party carrier.

Wow. Hope you have a service center closer (but just can't buy there)
