So I’m going to go from $111.54($4.29X26gallons)
To roughly $13.5(.12X75kwh)
To get the equivalent mpg
$111.54-$13.50=$98.04 in savings. A fill up. Wow

We try to use BJs gas stations when we can. Cheaper that most but still 4.99 per gallon for premium on Saturday! Now imagine having my 36 gallon tank on my F150 empty. I would need almost 180 dollars to fill up!!! And best case scenario I am getting about 22mpg highway.

Usually I hover in the 17-18mpg mixed...

Tesla increased my trade in value. Couple of months back they offered $5700 for my Honda Accord. I put on another 2K miles on it and now Tesla is offering $6500 :), not sure how but I am happily taking it. Carvana is offering way too lower ($3700)🤷‍♂️
I'm not saying it will be the case for you but... My buddy had intentions to trade in his corolla and tesla has offered him $15000 at the order date. During the waiting period, tesla was increasing his trade-in value by another $500 or so every 30 days, but when he got a VIN they sent him a new trade-in valuation and offered $11000...

I know everyone has been huddled around their computer waiting for an update.

I received a VIN on Saturday 5/14!!! My delivery date is scheduled for this Saturday 5/21!!!

My story is a little unexpected. The beginning was more of the same. I ordered on 3/6 and the website said April. I immediately received a EDD 4/30-6/2 and watched it slowly back track from there.

3/6 - 4/30 - 6/2
4/7 - 5/11 - 6/8
4/12 - 5/23 - 6/27
4/20 - 5/25 - 6/22

Then all hell broke loose this week. On Tuesday I was changed to a two week window 5/19 - 6/2. On Saturday I was called by Tesla "Typically we call anyone that has a 4 to 6 week EDD and confirm if they are trading in a car." I told them that we do not plan on it but for curiosity I gave them our SUVs (VW ATLAS) information and I was surprised that their trade in value was pretty good. We still decided not to trade in. The very same day, before I even had a trade in offer I was sent a VIN. Two hours later I had a text saying "it is time to schedule your delivery". I went from being told that I have a 4 to 6 week EDD to "hey you can pick it up a week from today" My only assumption that I can think of is that I am in South Florida, there is no way that a car is built and send to South Florida in a week. I am guessing that there was a car about to be delivered in my area that became available. I called and asked and it has the Vin and build of something that was built this month but I don't think you go from 0-100 in a week without someone passing on a car.

Thoughts?

Simply luck. No one with your OD is getting a car that fast. I ordered five days after you and am no where near getting a VIN it appears

I got the new trade in value after VIN was assigned. So hopefully that won’t change between now and next Wednesday when I pick up the car

It depends on many factors... I placed the order back on 3/13 and was told "MAY delivery" a few days later jumped to May - July, now I see 6/13-7/18 EDD. From my previous experience getting delivery from tesla, I expect to get delivery in 2nd half of June...

Our order was placed with a June 2022 (Oct order) delivery. Because we didn't complete our profile until Jan 2022, our EDD got pushed out to Aug-Oct yesterday. Not sure if we should upgrade and hope for an earlier delivery or hold off of upgrading and hope EDD moves in our favor.

I feel that my gas guzzler gets like 15 mpg lol.. MYP payment over 5 years with 29k down will pretty much cover my current gas bill of $1000-$1100/month.

My delivery day got pushed back from tomorrow to thursday 🙁

Thought I was going to pickup at Burbank but am forced into a home delivery
@Anonymous123 and I are also getting our Ys from Burbank. Anon called them today and was told that his vehicle is in Lathrop, which is a staging area.

I also called Tesla and was told my vehicle is in transit but not on the way to Burbank.

Man, I stopped by the burbank location to drop off something and the place was a mess! No parking anywhere so now I’m glad I’ve got home delivery.

Check list

Model Y Checklist
This is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android, too.
This pre-drive checklist is designed to be done in a specific flow to save time and make sure nothing is missed. You will essentially do several "laps" around the car. Start at the beginning and work your way down the list. By the end, your car will be fully reviewed. Feel free to print this out and bring it, along with a pen. Don't feel like you need to rush through the inspection. The delivery team at Tesla will certainly seem like they want to move quickly, but you don't need to leave the lot until you're 100% satisfied. Take your time

  1. If your vehicle will be registered to more than one person, each person on the registration needs to be at the delivery appointment to sign final documents.
  2. Driver's license
  3. Your smartphone with the Tesla app installed and signed in
  4. Written or digital proof of your down payment having been made and the final payment details; If you are financing, make sure your loan has been funded before you arrive to take delivery and that you have some kind of proof you can provide to Tesla should they ask about it.

Oh wow great info, hopefully mine is in transit. Yesterday, the SA told me it was still in fremont but since the drive is only 6 hours away from burbank, delivery can happen fairly quickly.
