Removing number plate holder

Tesla.com bit is just a push fit. Pull gently from one side and work your way across. Plate slides out and back in and replace the Tesla.com bit.

For the present I put the plates on that came off my old car. I’ll source some proper ones when lockdown permits.
God! Those plate holders are junk. The chief of Design must be vomiting in his steak!
I’ve never seen plates put on with self drilling self tapping screws!

Agreed. I ended up going for stick on plates....much cleaner and if you are getting a new set made up anyway ,ay well be a good option for you.

Yep, standard acrylic plates stuck on with 8mm x 1.5mm 3M tape

My other car is spaced exactly the same way - never an issue on the road and just 'elastic band on' the original plate for MOT.

Great job and so much neater. Vinyl front seems a no brainier to me, returning the car to ‘as designed’. Works especially well on white!

What have people done with the holes for the front plate. Took mine off today and the edges of the hole stick out quite a bit, so would need smoothing before sticker applied. Have people put anything in to fill the holes?

I used a glue gun to fill the holes and filed down the rough edges of the hole manually with a countersink.
