I've now got a VIN and Apr 17th delivery scheduled. and I paid. seems like maybe this is gonna happen....maybe.
looks like my VIN says the car was built approximately the first week of March.
It should work for original SRs too. My reservation page showed the SR like how others would have SR. I was able to edit mine since I don't have a VIN assigned and was able to go through the process to add AP. When I tried again with AP now in the build, it shows my price a $0 instead of $35K so not sure if they caught on or if it's cause I already have the $35K with AP.
According to the old chart SR had one less speaker and no immersive sound option:

Who knows what they will actually do. They probably don't even know yet. They will probably deliver with SR+ features and then take them away in a software update. (Like SR+ came with satellite maps originally even though they weren't supposed to.)
35K peeps are getting a huge deal, yet were the people willing to pay the least. It's really aggravating since I could have returned my car up until a few days ago.
I've been supporting Tesla since the beginning. Could only now justify dumping my old hybrid, and look what happens right away.
For someone who has spent so much time and effort (and buying shares!) on Tesla, I'm extremely disillusioned.
This is how much I lost for missing the refund date, or not just buying a little later, or the cheaper version.

SR Model 3. Black interior/exterior, base wheels, AP added.
Base cost plus AP plus delivery times tax minus rebate
(($47,600 + $4000 + $1300) x 1.12) - $5000 = $52,900

SR+ Model 3. Black interior/exterior, base wheels, AP added.
Base cost plus AP plus delivery times tax (2% luxury taxes when >$56,000) minus rebate
(($51,000 + $4000 + $1300) x 1.14) - $5000 = $59,182

Price difference: $59,182 - $ 52,900 = $6,282
Good one 35K people. Seems the Tesla gods are smiling on you, while everyone else subsidizes you car
I had a VIN assigned right away when I order in March. I called them (phone number listed on website) and told them to change my delivery date and that I can't pick it up till near end of June cause I was going out of the country. They removed my VIN assignment and kept my order in place. Since they announced the SR as a SR+ software limited, I called again and modified my order to a SR and also told them I couldn't pick it up till the end of the month. A few hours later it showed up as a SR on the website with no AP (no VIN assigned). I then went and edit the design/order to add the "included" AP and updated my order. It is now $35K with AP showing on the website. I currently have a April 30th delivery as I can't take the car till after I close on a home. Hopefully all goes well and I get AP with it.I am a SR+ purchaser who got a VIN assigned almost immediately last wed after ordering. Did you call your local specialists call HQ to get this done? I'm trying to downgrade but I don't know if I'll get this autopilot included due to the Vin assignment. Any insight welcome
50 miles on my odometer according to the purchase order. Is this a return or is that normal?
I don’t really care either way I just need to know how closely to look things over

Bad news 35k-ers...I just logged in and they added $3k to my account for autopilot. If I already have an email with a purchase agreement saying it's included, do I have a leg to stand on here?
I was emailed a signed purchase agreement. As far as I know a purchase agreement is a binding contract. Any legal folks here that can offer advice?same....I got a request to pay $35k this AM. I did. I got a vin. it said 35k for a car with included autopilot. It was all done, with a vin and a planned delivery. Now...they updated it and claim I owe them $3,200 more. Hmmm...Tesla is wild. They're a bit like my 5 year old, lots of thrust with little vector.
Yea, it looks like I can't even remove AP online anymore either. I prefer the 35K model now anyways over the 37K SR+ I had since the 2K extra isn't worth as much as it was before since the SR now is software limited SR+.Bad news 35k-ers...I just logged in and they added $3k to my account for autopilot.
