I requested and received an update from delivery specialist today. EDD Jan 19-Feb 16 can change any time but so far it is looking steady. If I happen to take delivery before other Canadian orders on this forum (or others whom might be interested to know), I'll advise whether it comes with Ryzen chips and lithium battery (which my pure sin wave inverter pending to connect for emergency/road trip purpose).

Thats actually super easy to explain. Tesla doesnt build cars "to order", they build them in batches. Just depends on when you order vs when they get back to the batch of cars that includes your configuration.

In 2019 and 2020, it was very common for someone to order at the beginning of a quarter, and get their car at the same time or slightly after someone who ordered near the middle or even in the end of quarter push, depending on where they are, logistics etc.

Thats how a month difference in order can equate to a day difference in delivery dates, or even someone ordering much later and getting delivered earlier than someone else.

EDD has moved everywhere between Sept 2022 and Dec 2021 so I don't really trust it. I see people with similar dates with my configuration and location taking delivery last year, but I cheer up knowing I might get Ryzen, if not any last-minute plot twists on US EV Tax credits.

Hopefully Ryzen rumor of all built after 1/11/22 is true.

I believe it is. I received that text 5 days before I received a text from the Tesla Langley Team saying a matching configuration would be arriving soon. (EDD went from Jan. 1 - Jan. 30 to Jan. 16 - Jan. 30 a couple days ago, OD: Aug. 24, 2021).
