It's all up to the power company now. Anyone have any pull with Pepco?
Based on an earlier discussion with a foreman there, about now (early Nov) is the time he indicated it would come online. By the way, does anyone have the Montgomery county anti-icing number? I want to store this now - anticipating needing to use it once this comes online.
Here is a reference to the Montgomery County Anti-ICEing law with the phone number and a link to the section of Code.

There are still a dozen sign posts with no signs, wheel stops to be installed and landscaping to be completed. All of which could be completed in one day, but it would be nice to see it done.
A friend was there a couple times last week and said someone was working on the "white boxes", so I'm guessing it's still not quite ready.
Considering this one has batteries it may take a while longer after powered on to get it to work properly and at full capacity.
The interesting thing is that the batteries are not Powerpacks, they appear to be different. The size of the battery compartments suggests that they contain perhaps individual modules from Model S/X batteries stacked up with the inverter/control modules mounted to the side and somewhat crudely connected.
Big news today, the transformer is in! Shouldn't be too long now, just some inspections and verification by Tesla. Everything else is window dressing.
Also, of topic, but also cool, I saw my first 3 over at the Rockville Service center tonight!
Shame on me - I was there at the SC last night and didn't notice the 3.
That's so hot! I see this too much in MoCo and ran out of those little cards to put on their windshield saying GTFO. Thanks!
Landscaping in and signs up. Six charging only and six 30 minute parking, as expected.
Handicap makings added, however they painted over the red line that used to run along all the spaces.
Also saw these. They were located over by the batteries. Did not see a "normal" meter. There was a small single box closer to the transformer but it did not have a circular cutout for a meter like I have seen elsewhere.
I've never seen Tesla charging stations with handicapped markings before, unless I just wasn't paying attention. I assume that means either/or?
Neither have I.
That's a charging only space. Just noticed that the striped area (which I assume is to give the driver more room to open the door) is situated on the wrong side, considering the way these stalls are positioned. Maybe the handicap spot should be on the end space next to it (which is more normal anyway).
Since most Wheelchair Van's use the right rear door, the striped area seams correct. The time is ripe for someone to modify a Model X for this type of Wheelchair Ramp function.
Got a report that the fencing is down, but pedestals aren't lit. Also, even though the parking lot was completely full, there was no ICEing!
This is awesome, I can't wait.
Anyone know if the gym at Rio is any good? or still open.
Looking to workout while I charge.
Just dropped by. No power yet.

Still no power. Pedestals not labeled, half the screws out which is the norm before turn up. No conventional meter unless it's in the locked gray box. Fencing removed.
No transformer hum heard.
Onespace iced (not pictured).
Just visited today, still no power, but ICE people seem to be respecting the spaces Busy parking garage, but all spots open despite not being functional.
